My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I love to travel, but I suppose everyone does and everyone writes that. I try to work in mini vacations when I have to travel for work. On a day to day basis, I like to cook and with it the eating of the results; plus pairing said results with a nice bottle of wine (good beer works in a pinch too). I have a penchant for steak medium rare, gratin, beets, celeriac, well-made pasta, homemade pizza, tiramisu, crepes with salted butter caramel,.

On the whole, I am a big fan of other cultures and their cuisines. When it comes to food I like pretty much everything, just prefer it well-made. That is, a grubby looking taco truck that serves kick ass tacos will suit me just fine.

I pay attention to current events and enjoy a spirited conversation on politics and sometimes religion, perhaps more so than I should. I prefer Bill Maher to Jon Stewart, but Stewart is good too.

I like to cycle, whether for commuting or just to get some exercise. I enjoy hiking as well, but haven't done it much in the last few years. I need to do more.

It would be quite nice to find someone with similar interests to spend time with. In addition, I hope to expand my interests as well and be introduced to new activities. I would like to find someone who is witty (with a sarcastic air), liberal, keeps abreast with issues/the news, socially conscientious, prefers walking (or cycling) to driving, and also attractive wouldn't hurt either.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty decent in the kitchen and can hold my own at Scrabble.
The first things people usually notice about me

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
coffee, cheese, wine, a proper pint, and my bike. I would also write decent bread, but it is dreadfully hard to find.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
seems a lot of people write that the most private thing that they would admit is that they are on okcupid. I'm not willing to admit that.
