My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Ahhh, Chicago...I went to college and graduate school here. Since then I've lived and worked in Dallas, DC, Cambodia, New York City and Seoul, South Korea. Now, like a Pacific salmon, i have returned to realize my ultimate fulfillment - or at least to settle down and perhaps stay in one place for a while.

I'm VERY happy to be back. Chicago has always occupied a very special place in my heart. It might be worthwhile to note that for six years I was very much a creature of New York City. I thrive on that kind of dynamism and energy. I cherish art, culture, diversity, music, food, noise, activity and stimulation. I love motorcycles and look forward to getting another one. I have powerful convictions and believe that almost any topic can warrant robust discussion and debate. I might be stubbornly convinced that I'm right about an issue, but if you present me with convincing evidence otherwise, I will ALWAYS consider viewpoints on their merits.

I've lived a supremely fascinating life these past few years, and I often reflect on how lucky I've been. I think it would be nice to have someone to share this crazy ride with. If any of this interests you, if you are a thoughtful and independent person, we should talk.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My background is in journalism. I was a political reporter on Capitol Hill in DC and a magazine editor in South Korea and elsewhere. I have since realized that corporate communications promises a more lucrative future, so I have migrated into the world of Public Relations. I'm currently the creative director of a marketing and PR firm that deals primarily with emerging technology companies. Basically, I'm Don Draper.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Few things give me pleasure as much as meeting new people and learning new things. That's one of the reasons I got into journalism; everyone has a fascinating story to tell. As a result I am comfortable in almost any social situation, and I am terribly grateful for it.

Also, I can breathe fire with kerosene. And I am a goddamn wizard in the kitchen.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
They don't. I am like a ninja in the shadows...

Actually, I guess they probably notice my easygoing banter and general up-for-anything charm? This is a tough prompt...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Camus, Nabokov, Tom Wolfe, John Krakauer, some Hunter Thompson, Twain, Faulkner, Hemingway, Fitzgerald, some Tom Clancy, a few Steven King numbers - I'm all over the map. I tend toward nonfiction. Also, you should read 'Shantaram' by Gregory David Roberts.

Movies: Anything that can make me laugh, cry, think or cheer. I have a soft spot for campy horror and zombie flicks. I very much like a good documentary.

Shows: The Daily Show, Colbert, The West Wing, Breaking Bad, House of Cards, Mad Men, Dowton Abbey, Arrested Development - plus good historical documentaries, nature shows, current events, etc.

Music: My musical tastes are as broad and deep as the sea.

Food: I am a committed epicure and have dined at some of the finest restaurants in the world, and yet few things can beat a bowl of spicy noodle soup from a Saigon street cart. I will try absolutely any food once.
On a typical Friday night I am
