I enjoy reading all types of books, but I tend to focus on non-fiction, with history, philosophy, and political science as my favorite genres. I also play guitar in a local band, although we are still not quite ready to play out. Prior to this semester, I was employed as a college-level history instructor, but am now looking for a new job due to this state's massive education budget cuts.

As for what I truly focus on in my life, I take care of my 14 year old daughter on most days, whom I have a very close relationship with. That being said, I do not bring any dates over to meet her, because I want her to have as normal a family life as possible. SOMETIMES THIS MEANS I AM NOT AVAILABLE FOR A NIGHT OUT, ETC. I feel bad saying this, but I'm afraid scheduling time to meet can often be a challenge. Also, I am not looking for a serious long-term commitment right now, as a somewhat recent divorcee that was married for 12 years, I feel that I should explore new people and just have some fun for awhile before I decide to welcome a new person into our lives.

So, in case that last paragraph hasn't completely scared you off, and you are still reading this summary, I should provide you with a few positives about me:
1. I am extremely honest, you can ask me anything or talk about anything
2. I respect women tremendously, despite my bitter divorce. This is part of the reason I am so protective of my daughter's well-being.
3. I am very intelligent, and I hold an M.A. in U.S. history. I love to have heated political/social debates, especially when someone has a different point of view. I always respect the opinion of others, assuming they are well-researched in their statements.
4. I am extremely passionate both in terms of my social beliefs and in the bedroom. My goal is always to provide a woman with the best treatment possible, and I enjoy nothing more than bringing a beautiful woman to orgasm. I even like to cuddle afterwards.

MUSIC: Tool, Guns N' Roses, Slayer, Mozart, Melvins, Jello Biafra, The Beatles, Hank Williams 1 and 3, Johnny Cash, Black Sabbath, Bad Religion, TSOL, Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, Skinny Puppy, System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine, Outkast, N.W.A., Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Count Basie, Howlin' Wolf, Buddy Holly.....every genre has at least some good music, even disco! (I play metal/punk, however)

FOOD: anything I'm not allergic to. (Chinese or Indian nearly always works)

MOVIES: Amadeus, Citizen Cane, Gandhi, Das Boot, most Tim Burton films, Armageddon Now, V for Vendetta, Idiocracy, Harold and Kumar 1 and 2, Schindler's List, Cheech and Chong. (My interest in movies obviously varies widely, like my interest in music.)
