I am intelligent, fun (to watch), and quirky.
My Self-Summary
Hey everyone.
Recently moved to Melbourne to do
nursing.
I enjoy
reading,
movies and
music, especially
live
gigs.
I like my movies, tv, music, food and conversation to have
substance, feel free to discuss stuff with me. Sometimes I can be a
bit stubborn and hot headed and my discussions can become debates,
or 'arguments'.
I can also be pretty shy, but once I get to know someone I'm pretty
open (and sometimes opinionated). Trust me, you'll never get me to
shut up.
Also you'll find I can be a bit of a dag (but in a good way)
um, not much else to say, just looking for someone fun, feel free
to message me even if its just to say hi, i'll usually try to
reply.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm studying
nursing at
Monash University in
Melbourne.
I want a career in the
Defence Force, preferably doing
nursing.
I plan to study emergency care and critical care nursing, as well
as mental health.
After this i plan to retire, where I will backpack across Asia
(with my insane cousin Ash, who is a fabulous fag), drive across
America and Australia alone in an old bomb, join a Buddhist
monastery or a hippy commune and spend the rest of my days thinking
about absolutely nothing.
But that's way down the track.
Editors
I’m really good at
Reading,
crosswords (a bit geeky
i know).
Um, not much else, making an idiot out of myself I guess. Putting
my foot in my mouth (figuratively and literally. :P. actually not
the latter, I know, I'm just not talented enough), doing nothing,
talking really fast, ignoring important things for things like
online/facebook games. etc.
The first things people usually notice about me
My tail.
My height
short, not
much else, usually i'm doing something wrong or I'm somewhere I
shouldn't be, but I do get complimented on my
eyes and my
smile.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books:
John
Marsden,
Ellen Hopkins,
Isobelle Carmody,
Matthew
Reilly Morgan Spurlock J K Rowling (give me abreak,
you know you like her too
I like fantasy and sci-fi, although I think mixing up the two can
be disastrous. At the moment I don't have a lot of time for
anything other than med/nursing textbooks. Fundamentals of Anatomy
and Physiology here I come.
Movies:
Crash,
Babel,
Bobby,
Fight Club,
Donnie Darko,
Life as a House,
Stay,
Big Fish,
as well as
anime
including
Spirited Away,
Howl's Moving
Castle,
My Neighbour Totoro,
Princess
Mononoke,
Ponyo
+ more.
Things that hit you hard and leave you thinking. Movies you only
start to understand on the 17th viewing. Ones where you try to
explain the meaning to someone and end up standing there with your
mouth opening and closing and no sound coming out.
Oh and anything
Disney
Music:
Mindless Self
Indulgence, punk, rock, hardcore etc trance and house, weird
stuff. Also stuff on the
Triple J top 100. I'm open to anything,
I don't have a set genre, either I like an artist or I don't.
Not big on the whole Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus tween pop star
thing though.
The six things I could never do without
Phone - if only to check the time
iPod - currently with only 300mb space left
Debit card - when there's actually money in there, which is
rare
Air - alas, I am only human, and prone to bouts of apnea and
asphyxiation if deprived of oxygen
Friends - pretty self explanatory
and my laptop (inc internet) - hey, I have to check my OkCupid page
somehow!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Deep philosophical questions that have remained unanswered for
thousands of years
-The meaning of life
-Life, the Universe and Everything
-Why after years of pure crap, shows like Today Tonight, A Current
Affair, Everybody Loves Raymond and Neighbours still exist.
-What should I eat for dinner? (this is perhaps the hardest to
answer)
-Why are there no birds or fish in the pets category in the side
bar? Is Ok-Cupid specie-est???
On a typical Friday night I am
Drinking cheap wine (goon), contemplating the above questions,
ignoring homework and surfing the web (usually all at once).
I do go out when the mood strikes me or my friends invite me,
although I can rarely afford it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm not actually the girl they're singing about in My Sharona, her
name's actually Sharona

True: I was, alas, lying about the tail earlier. Sigh.
You should message me if
You find strange things amusing or fascinating, something on my
page made you smile (even if your face didn't show it), you enjoy
meaningful (or meaningless) conversation, or you just have nothing
better to do.
Also if you know what i should have for dinner, something
vegetarian, and preferably cheap and easy to make.
