Back in NY....
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
After a two year hiatus in London, back in NY to open our business here... pretty excited to be back. Looking forward to reacquainting myself with the place.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Subtle irony and dry humour, knowing a lot about odd subjects, fixing things (though for some reason, my friends are a little skeptical when I say that...), cooking, adapting to new cultures and using (parentheses) - see...
The first things people usually notice about me

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Lots of biographical and auto biographical type stuff.. Kitchen Confidential, Nudge and Portrait of the Artist as a Young Girl... really like the way Grayson Perry writes / speaks.

Music... Spotify plalist - what a great idea. Now I don't have to have my own taste. otherwise a lot of Brooklyn indie Broken Bells, Grizzly Bear, Miike Snow... various djs (girl talk, a-skillz etc...), daft punk (I need to go to one of their concerts).. the xx, cut copy, Todd Terje, FM Attack, various hip hop... dirty, club stuff.

Movies... I am better known for having not seen many great movies - and am constantly berated by my friends - for amongst other things not having seen the GodFather and quite a few other's that I'm told I should absolutely, positively, totally watch. Really enjoyed La Grande Bellezza. TV-wise - Brooklyn Nine-Nine is hilarious. Hilarious.

Lastly food - all cuisines... some current favourite dishes... Sasabune - everything (really, you have to go), brussel sprouts at Sorella, scallops at Joseph Leonard, spinach at Bar Pitti... summer rolls at Pho Grand, grilled octopus at Pylos, uni at Marea, injeera at Meskel... really, I could go on.

In London... Dishoom is great, Tuckshop and a few other favorites that I can't think of this second.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
f+f, coffee, food, minimalism, humor, internet, hot sauce
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Is my beard a hipster beard or just a regular beard?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
doing whatever takes my fancy.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm not perfect.
