My self-summary
I reside in WI, but am in the process (think June) of relocating to Round Lake, I like funky music, sarcasm, and the internet with all it's myriad nerdery.

Uh, I also own a Sabretoothed Lime plushie? And I stole an Emma Watson poster from the HP7 premiere. I drink a lot of seltzer water for someone under 60, occasionally some of it gets poured onto my bamboo plant, not as much gets poured onto my dog, River.

I like talking politics and philosophy, I float somewhere towards the left socially and economically, but have no problems with people who opine on a separate wavelength.

I'm mildly in love with parenthetical statements. I don't like to let sentences die, I just get so darn attached.

I like smooching, and feel very strongly that this word needs to come back big time.

Calvin and Hobbes is high-art, and modern philosophy.

I think that about sums me up.

Note: I took these pics at around 260-280, I've since dropped to ~220 and falling, working on getting good pics up.
What I’m doing with my life
On a day by day basis I switch between wanting to live an ascetic life on a beach and aspiring to an urban playboy fantasy. I'll probably end up somewhere between the two riding a desk hard and fast into the ocean or some such.

I work for an electronic cigarette company to satiate my need for nicotine and play with fancy toys. Just started, actually. A friend of mine would say "shit's tits, bro", but I just think it's damn cool. I am, in reality, pretty passionate about vaping, and would love to work in the industry for the awesome community that's sprung up around it. Flavors are cool, and vapers of any variety are certainly given preference. I love talking to you people inhaling flavored air.
I’m really good at
Whistling, no really. I'm heard before I'm seen, I know, I'm a terrible Milford Man.

Turn of phrase.

Terrible puns. I'm sorry/not sorry at all in advance.
The first things people usually notice about me
My winning disposition.

The sea of freckles that is my arms/face.

A fairly dry/deadpan sense of humor that devolves as time goes on into a series of puns. It's neverending performance art.

My love affair with the ellipsis...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Way too much music, in fact: here's my last.fm: http://www.last.fm/user/iMattv2

A smattering: Radiohead, Wilco, Jeff Buckley, Katy B, Katy Perry, The Mountain Goats, matt pond PA, The Motherfucking Pixies, Cake, Sufjan Stevens, Nomo, Sigur Ros, Burial, Moving Mountains, Daft Punk, Say Anything, The Receiving End of Sirens, Mt. Eden, Death Cab for Cutie, Battles, Aesop Rock, and Fallout Boy kinda sum it up. Also, I kinda like Kesha, yeah... I'm sorry.

Books: I love anything by Terry Pratchett, Heinlein, G.R.R. Martin, Orson Scott Card etc... Also love poetry from time to time, Browning is my favorite there.

Love The Office (US is vastly superior to UK), Modern Family, 30 Rock and if nothing else is on terribly awesome sci-fi shows. Not opposed to anime either. I guess it's also time for me to admit I'm a flaming True Blood fan. If you've gotten this far down, it's possibly not a deal breaker. I'm in love with Dr. Who and will at some point attempt to convert you into watching with the passion of ten Mormon missionaries (ten!).

Movies? I don't know why, but I don't get into movies the same way I am into music. I love quirky comedies, schlocky sci-fi b movies, braindead action films, and everything undead, equally. Think... Starship Troopers, Moon, The Fountain, Big Fish, The Big Lebowski, and Wall-E.

Thai food, yeah.

I'm also a huge fan of indie brews, cheap gin, and I need regular doses of guacamole and/or hummus to survive.
The six things I could never do without
-My Laptop
-The last 50% of my hearing
-Pure, medical-grade cuddling, I'm talking high-class shit here. I offer a master-class to interested particpants.
-Music
-The overarching conviction that someday we will all become robots goddamnit.
-Wheels of some sort, be they pedal or motor powered.
-I don't know, Whales?

No, Narwhals.

And summer rain.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The atrocity that is Firefly's cancellation / How awesome Nathan Fillion is.

The nature of thought

Deep shit, man.
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably working, no me gusta.

Realistically though? "Having fun". I'm a twenty something and I'm up for pretty much anything.

Except for curling, if I'm going to be pushing a broom around that much my floors should at least look impeccable afterwards.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I like to belt out "A Change is Gonna Come" by Sam Cooke. It's an old soul song, and my not so secret all time favorite. I have nice voice, though, so its k.

Also, for someone who loves music as much as I do, I'm deaf in one ear, and partially there in another. So speak up, Darwin knows I do.

You like sweet music, the interweb, or life in general.

You actually read through this silliness.

You can tell me of a more beautiful song than Saeglopur by Sigur Ros
