I am reliable, witty, and independent.

My Self-Summary

I am caring, honest, dependable, witty, independent, self-aware, and not very decisive (or put positively, "goes with the flow"). I get along with others easily, but I also like to have time to myself once in a while. Friends would describe me as someone who cares with her whole heart, works hard, and doesn't always give herself enough credit.

I like to sing (I'm actually in a choir), and once upon a time I played trombone (insert band camp joke here). I'll listen to most types of music, but if I hear that godawful "paparazzi" song one more time someone might get hurt. I also probably know all of the lyrics to any Foreigner song you know, and even some you don't know. What can I say? I'm a child of the 80s.

I lead a fairly active lifestyle and spend a lot of time outdoors, especially running. I'm also learning to embrace cycling and swimming. Is there a triathlon in my future? We'll see.

What I’m doing with my life

Collecting unemployment and looking for work like 10.2% of the nation. (Wow, I sound like a real winner, huh?) In the meantime, I volunteer for a non-profit women's health center and (soon) the American Red Cross. I also just started teaching online college classes, so there's a light at the end of that unemployment tunnel. I am patiently waiting to get my professional license (in January) so I can start my own head-shrinking practice.

On a typical Friday night I am

eating a carb-licious dinner, drinking a glass of wine, and hitting the hay so I can get up early and run.
