My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
60% ambitious, 30% goofy, 10% geeky.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm new to the Triangle area, and excited to explore everything it has to offer! From CA originally with a stint in Indiana.

I work in academia, trying to change the world in some small way.

Although work keeps me busy and I travel like crazy, I do try to explore Durham and NC as much as I can, eat good food (hooray for food trucks), keep in shape (rock climbing and running recently), maintain a healthy drinking habit, keep in touch with friends and family.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Thinking, skiing, cooking gourmet meals, being open-minded, facing situations with a level head. Reciting lyrics to hip hop songs. Massages and back scratches. Being charming and flirtatious.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My sociablility, because it doesn't fit the geeky stereotype of what I do.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
TV: Louie, 30 rock, Archer, Arrested Development, Portlandia. Breaking Bad, House of Cards, and Walking Dead were also recent obsessions.

Movies: comedies, action movies mostly. So-bad-they're-good movies, like The Room.

I have a bizarre ability to recite lyrics from rap songs after only a couple of listens. My tastes in music are varied but tend to hip hop, electronic, and rock. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I can recite most of the words to Fancy.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order
- coffee
- robots
- TSA precheck
- good Mexican and Vietnamese food
- competent coworkers
- flirtatious banter
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
where to find distractions from work
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I will never be able to grow more facial hair than a sort of wispy pube-stache of a 13 year old.
