I am a professional yet fun person. My life revolves around my son, my job and my friends. I love reading, history, and people-watching...good food, good wine and good company. I have a serious side but I absolutely love stand-up comedy! I also love all genres of music (except country), and my favorite is 80s music. History and archaeology are serious interests of mine; although, I have to admit if it happened in the last 200 years it probably doesn't interest me much. I love the idea of touching something ancient, and imagining all the people who have been there before me.

Raising my 8 year old son, and working; adjusting to the idea of dating again. I've been divorced for nearly two years but honestly haven't gone on that many dates; I'm not that picky...just haven't been interested. After 10 years of marriage I felt like I needed the time to just be me for a while. There really needs to be a bit more to write here than what I just put down, and I am working on that! That's one of the reasons I am here.

My eyes, or my laugh...it's kind of a toss-up there. A lot of my friends say that they thought I was aloof when they first met me; I guess that I tend to be quiet and observant when first meeting people, but warm up quickly.

My favorite books are historical in nature, mostly about places or people. I also love true crime novels...the cheap paperback kinds that cover the latest serial killer or whatever. It's fascinating to look into other peoples' lives and have another glimpse at the human condition. The best autobiography I have read in a long time is "Broken Music" by Sting...what an amazing artist and author. Of course, I am a huge fan so I'm sure that colors my opinion.

My taste in movies is kinda the same, although I will always love Pretty in Pink! I think my favorite movie ever is As Good As It Gets. The Outsiders, Something about Mary, Ray, any of the Bourne series...I don't watch many movies more than once but I could watch these again and again. I love love love a good laugh and look forward to silly movies. Monty Python is always good for a grin, and I do love Dumb & Dumber sometimes when I don't want to think. Mockumentaries are great; "Best in Show" is my kind of humor. Not the kind that slaps you in the face, but that sneaks up on you.

Food is way too much fun! My favorite restaurant is Lanna Thai...the best in town. I also love Mexican food, sushi, burgers...I will try anything once.

I could never do without my son, my family, my friends, books, music, Thai and Mexican food, the Internet...oops! I think I went over six.

Most likely hanging out at home! I know, it's sad. If my son is here we try to do something, like go to the park or rent a movie, maybe go out to eat...when I'm on my own I try to go out with friends or entertain myself. It's not that hard! It would be nice to add a little bit of interest though! That being said, I am not a fan of loud, crowded places.

I am not a skinny girl; it is something I'm working on.
