You can skip the entirety of the rest of this profile if you want with this handy executive summary: Basically I want you to think I'm funny, emotionally perceptive and sensitive, intrigued more than judgemental, and for it to be a bit of a mystery as to why I earn so much with a personality as elaborated below...

Want to make people really happy without them being able to understand how or who is doing it... I work in a large company for The Bad Guys and I'm very, very important.

"Violet, sad, soulful eyes." That's actually a quote I just heard on a podcast, and has nothing at all to do with me - my eyes are actually dark dark brown and you'd have to look deep to glimpse anything other than blank confuzzlement! Or perhaps you can interpret it as a recently-found sense of wonder... pretender extraordinaire, I like to believe.

I love to chat to people about life, love and everything, but I'm NOT INTENSE!!! - just fascinated :O) (btw that smiley is hell to draw on an iPad - be impressed)

Much prefer cosy nights at home or in the cinema/pub or out walking etc. than out clubbing. Wanting to find someone who can ignore the reserved facade and cuddle shamelessly.

Working in a friendly and enthusiastic environment, coordinating multiple projects being launched around the world and somehow having to make them meet in the middle (!) Tactful diplomacy and gentle piss-taking seem to be the key...

Inevitably wondering where I'm going with this whole life thing...

I come across as not being very tactile at first (and I hate this about myself) but love to be touched.

I love films/books that are full of colours or smells or imagination - I really loved the book (and film) Perfume for this; I have to admit to a geeky love of Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead too. A little known series called Mushishi was also brilliant (some of it is on YouTube right now). And I love films that look into the mind and madness - Fight club, Memento, Pan's Labyrinth, Mulholland drive.

I love some documentaries too - anything by Adam Curtis I will soak up and ponder forever after. And doesn't everyone love David Attenborough to bits?

I have a funny taste in music - if you've ever heard of Amethystium, Ogrudy Alamut, Pulsar Bleu, Sami Takieddin, Wendy Grondzil, or Sofaspace then please message me!!!! Also loving the new Emancipator track, Minor Cause - really sends shivers down my spine. Some Royksopp tracks are brilliant, especially "What Else is There". On the lighter side, those 90s hits really take me back!

Finally, of course, I need my fair dose of comedy. South Park is a favourite, also like Family Guy, American Dad etc. I quite like satirical game shows like 8 out of 10 cats, Have I Got News for You etc. but only watch when I'm bored. Oh - also Charlie Brooker and Doug Stanhope :O)

The hope - and opportunities to try - to understand people so deeply that they can't tell where the new source of happiness is coming from; the prayer that this one day happens the other way round
And I thank God most of all for the interweb and it's mobile phone babies.

Where I'm going with my life, and how I can find someone with whom I can share the beautiful things I've found.

Alternatively, becoming a drifter in the "modern wild west", riding a motorbike from town to town, solving (or committing) crimes (I'm a profoundly flawed hero in this scenario), breaking hearts, and dusting off into the sunset, never to be seen again. One day I'll meet a tragic, unexpected end, far far too young.

OR, becoming a drugs baron in South America. I'll obviously have to spend some years working my way up the ladder - being a mule, then maybe a lab chemist etc. - but eventually I'll rule a large empire that sells gods and horror in little white packets. I will meet an inevitable violent demise at the hands of my most trusted right-hand-man (a current close friend/colleague of mine).

OR!!! Becoming the geek computer scientist - hovelled up in miserable, dingy accommodation and barely seeing the sunlight for years (but still hygienically showering regularly) - who discovers the secret to true general artificial intelligence. I unleash it upon the world asking it to do every good it can for humanity - conflicts are resolved, medicine and healthy water/food becomes available to all within months - Earth becomes a utopia where each individual is deeply loved and nurtured by the AI. Yet tragically, the one individual it cannot help is me - the damage done by those years of isolation, and my intimate knowledge of its workings makes me distrust it and everyone else, and I wither away into obscurity.

Or just wondering how to answer a question some random guy in the pub asked me recently: what colour is the Universe?

Out for a drink with colleagues, or in with a movie and takeaway.

Several of the local takeaways know me by name now... but I'm a great cook, honestly!
