Originally from the south, I've been out here for over four years now; and while my "honeymoon" phase with Portland has ended, I really can't see myself living anyplace else. My relationship with Portland has changed, and now it's more of a "what does this city have to offer me, what do I have to offer it, and how do we grow". It's like a new chapter has begun!

I also just started a business! It's nerve racking at times, and it's taking up most of my time, but it's very fulfilling.

I'm very excited to see where my business goes and where my relationship with this town goes this year! Good times for both hopefully!

I just started a businesses, and I work another full time job. Needless to say, these keep me pretty busy. In down time: remembering how to relax, getting out of town here and there, trying ever so hard to get back into cooking...

Number crunching, keeping track of inventory, organizing receipts. Who knew? Recommending chocolate. Making cappuccinos. Remembering where things are from. Naming state capitals. Paying attention.

My glasses maybe. Also that I look people in the eye when I talk to them. I think it makes some people nervous/uncomfortable.

Books--I don't read as often as I'd like to unfortunately.

Movies-- Pulp Fiction, The Big Lebowski, Pirate Radio, Good Will Hunting, Gattaca, Waking Ned Devine, V for Vendetta, The Matrix, Pan's Labyrinth, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, The Aviator, The Lord of the Rings...

Music--Beck, Radiohead, The Beatles, Outkast, M.I.A., deadmau5, Black Keys, Black Angels, Heartless Bastards, Gorillaz, Miike Snow, Crystal Castles, The Strokes, Little Dragon, De Novo Dahl, Y La Bamba, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Winebirds. I do not know of every band that ever was. I'm a horrible person to discuss music with because I'm always behind.

Food--southern, bahn mi, all things thai and indian, tacos, a good burger, breakfast, pok pok's wings, broder, tasty n sons' polenta and sausage ragu...

I don't wear skinny jeans. Gasp. They're not comfortable, and they look ridiculous on me. I also tell really bad stories sometimes. And sometimes over and over without realizing it.

What I'm looking for is a good friend. Someone to try new restaurants with, enjoy coffee/brunch when we're both free, watch second run movies, get out of town on occasion--whether this be a day trip to the coast or a more sizeable planned trip. Someone who wants to start out as friends but is also not afraid of it turning into something else.
