My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I believe in living life with purpose and intention. It's about always improving, growing, and learning in every facet of life.

I was born and raised in Rockford, although I own several rental properties, the most recent of which is in Machesney Park. Needless to say, I enjoy it and I'm excited to own more.

I am an active volunteer in my community, and I love the joy I bring by helping others. I would love to share that with my somebody special.

But enough about me, I'm looking for someone who is intellectual but not cocky about it. She should be beautiful, but not realize it, and ambitious almost to a fault. I want someone who dreams big and isn't afraid to pursue those ideals. Could it be you?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've got a great job at General Mills. I get great pay and I work with some pretty awesome people, what more can you ask for.

In my downtime, I volunteer at quite a few places including the Rockford Public School District and SCORE. The latter of which helps small business owners get started on the right foot!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a self proclaimed efficiency expert. Whether its my time or money, I do a lot with what I have in life. It's important to enjoy the present, but also to plan for the future...I do both with elegance.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hey, is that Russell from Disney Pixar's Up??

Ok seriously, you could notice any number of things about me depending on the situation. I'm a bit of a health nut, but I love to eat. I can be quite the wallflower, but get me on a topic I'm passionate about and its hard for me to shut up. My humor is best described as dry and witty, with a healthy dose of social awkwardness.

What do you notice about me?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Love motivational books, investment books, or those that provide a good laugh.

I love all sorts of movies from the 80's classics to some cult classics like Donnie Darko or Boondock Saints. And everything in-between...simply too many to list here.

Love comedy! I enjoy the Daily Show and Colbert Report. I've been enjoying Big Bang Theory recently, but have watched Scrubs and The Office in the past. Some little known shows I've come to enjoy are Dead Like Me and Freaks and Geeks.

My taste in music is weird...Jack Johnson,The Script, Jimmy Eat World, Zac Brown Band and Rascal Flats. And if the mood strikes me, a little Modest Mouse or The Fratellis.

I love trying new foods...or a new ingredient in a classic dish. I love the concept of Dim Sum or Tapas because it allows you the opportunity to try many exotic foods at once.

I enjoy classic video games occassionally so put in some Super Mario 3...or Mario Kart (if you like the concept of losing, lol). RPG's also have a special place in my heart too.

I like some board games too, my current favorites are Cash Flow, Monopoly, Risk, Settlers of Catan and a few others.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My relationship with God.
My friends and family.
My ability to dream.
Making someone else's day.
My sense of optimism.
My drive and will to succeed against all odds.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I believe life should be serious enough to be productive but fun enough to be happy. This sense of balance is no doubt a product of my Libra nature, but I stand by it as the ideal mindset to approach life.

I think of my life plans and how I can best serve the world around me. Overall I'm positive for the future. Not just for myself, but for my community and the world around me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hiking a mountain, growing a Grizzly Adams beard and chopping down a tree. No, not at all, that's a ridiculous answer.

Realistically, work...but that's because my "weekend" is Monday and Tuesday. And on those days I enjoy spending time with friends and family, pizza and a few beers, or just enjoying a little R&R.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a completely irrational fear of balloons, I don't swear, and there's others I'm sure, but those are the first that come to mind.

If OK Cupid has us as 100% enemies and you're looking for an arch-nemesis, haha.

Nah, in all seriousness though, I'm ultimately looking for a fellow nerd fighter, someone who is an intellectual and not afraid to admit it. That person who with all their heart wants to make the world a better place.
