First things first, my name is Kyle. I was born in the small town of Henderson, Kentucky and after graduating college in Virginia I've found myself out here on the left coast loving the bay area. I work at a law firm and I love what I do, but I hope to one day make a living in film. I enjoy hearty meals, draft beer, compelling movies, loud music, engaging conversations and uproarious laughter. I'm very easy going and I'm up for just about anything. I love learning new things and having new/different experiences... within reason, of course. I'm also very passionate when it comes to art or creativity, and I'm currently working on several film and music projects. Simply put, I'm looking for someone to hang out with.

-writing screenplays and directing short films. Slowly building towards writing/directing my first feature.
-working as an investigator at a law firm. The specifics of my job are kinda top secret. But only kinda.
-getting fit (they call it jogging, or ..."yogging"....I think it's a soft 'j')
-eating healthy (usually).
-spending time with awesome people whenever and wherever I can.
-keeping up with a few current comics and building on my modest collection (NERD ALERT!)
-learning how to cook stuff in my new cast iron skillet.
-laughing. Often.
-being a big kid. Sometimes.
-maintaining my beard... it really is alot of work.

-finding something I want and going after it.

My eyes and my smile (the dimples help), but I guess that's pretty standard. Other than that I guess maybe my sense of humor? My beard? I dunno. I don't really quiz people on that stuff.

Books: the Odd Thomas series (either Dean Koontz gets a bad wrap or I have shitty taste in literature), a few of the Harry Potter books, screenwriting manuals, and a few childhood favorites- Where The Wild Things Are and Caps for Sale. Been trying to get back into reading for pleasure after school made it boring. Know any good ones?

Movies: (could list these all day but I'll keep it brief) Aliens, Predator, Office Space, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, The Dark Knight, Memento, Inception, The Departed, The Shipping News, Requiem for a Dream, Sin City, Dumb and Dumber, Gremlins, Homeward Bound, etc. More recently I've really enjoyed The Raid, Jeff Who Lives at Home and Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol.

Shows: Nip/Tuck, Friends, Sons of Anarchy, Deadwood, Damages, The Wire, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, South Park, Breaking Bad, Walking Dead, Big Bang Theory, Modern Family, the list goes on.

Music: hip-hop, classic rock, 80's & 90's and a little bit of blues and/or soul.

Food: outside of the standards I like Italian, mexican, chinese, thai, sushi, etc. I'm starting to get into healthy/exotic food and I'm always looking to try new things.

-family & friends: I count them as one because I consider some friends as family and vice versa.
-movies: I won't be cliche and say that my life is like a movie, but movies are a big part of my life.
-music: I almost always have tunes on whether I'm at work or at home.
-laughter: I pride myself on my ability to make people laugh and to laugh at/with others.... mostly with..... sometimes at.
-challenges: obstacles keep me on my feet and moving forward.
-goals and dreams: we may not all be here for a reason, but we should all have a reason to be here. (deep, no?)

-my future

After a long work week you can find me either out with my friends having some laughs and drinks, singing Karaoke (badly), catching a screening of whatever's out that weekend, at a game or maybe just at home relaxing with a book or controller in my hand. I'm pretty low-key.

I can't stand the sound of someone brushing their teeth. It's like nails on a chalkboard to me. Strange, I know..

Also, I may have a slight Batman obsession.
