Educated, easy-going guy. Grew up a Montana country boy and still have a lot of that sensibility about me, although I've spent most of adult life in Chicago and Los Angeles with a few other shorter stopovers.

Constantly seeking new opportunities to learn and explore the world. Transitioned from an academic path to the business world several years ago, and still find myself seeking ways to integrate some of that idealism with the practicality of getting things done.

Books: I read a lot and broadly. Recent reads include Wolf Hall, Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet, Train Dreams, Life of Pi, Game of Thrones, Washington: A Life, Behind the Beautiful Forevers, Cradle to Cradle, and Twilight of the Elites. Just got a Nexus tablet last fall and loving it (shhh!--don't tell my iPhone!).

Movies: Eternal Sunshine, Argo, Ghost Writer, A Single Man, Gods and Monsters, Doubt, Memento, Pan's Labyrinth, Best in Show, Cradle Will Rock, Shortbus, Hedwig, Up in the Air, Good Night and Good Luck, Avengers, Children of Men.

Shows: Not a huge TV person, but enjoy my HBO: Curb Your Enthusiasm, GoT, True Blood, Boardwalk Empire, In Treatment, Real Time. Also like Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations, Arrested Development, Parks & Recreation, 30 Rock, Happy Endings, Colbert & Daily Show, The Simpsons, Downton Abbey. Love my Netflix streaming, too.

Music: I love all kinds of music, even old school country (Montana, remember?). Current faves include The Lumineers, Frank Ocean, Of Monsters and Men, Lianne La Havas, Gotye, Muse, Emeli Sande, Florence + The Machine, The Civil Wars, Holy Ghost! Love my 80s tunes, especially old school R.E.M.

Food: A bit of a foodie. Love Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, Spanish, Latin, Italian, Greek, and Middle Eastern. More Umami Burger than MickeyD's for sure. I'll try anything once. A trip to the farmers market or an ethnic grocery store is my idea of fun.
