My Self-Summary

I love being outside, especially hiking and camping way out there but also just enjoying the sun when it is here in the city. I love music, especially bluegrass and folk and indie rock and I play guitar and sing a little bit. I love my friends and barbecues and ultimate frisbee and breweries. I am down to earth and easy to get along with. When I'm in I like cooking, writing, listening to NPR and playing music. When I'm out, I like being active, doing new things, dancing, biking, swimming in the ocean and generally having great times.

What I’m doing with my life

I live in San Francisco and have since January. I left my job editing newspapers in Michigan and I'm now piecing it together as a freelancer here, constantly in search of the next gig. I also teach outdoor education in Marin - I take kids on hikes and teach them about plants and animals and teamwork. It's really fun but super part time. I'm applying to grad school at Berkeley for next fall.
