I'm a writer and yet I find this form of self advertisement, aggrandisement, difficult. I like to write fiction but here is a quick resume:
-born in 1975 in Sri Lanka
-got my swimming certificate in England in 1983
-saw the Pacific Ocean for the first time in Peru in 1986
-saw the comic artwork of Brian Bolland for the first time in Canada in 1987
-first time a girl aggressively came on to me and kissed me was in 1993 in Ottawa
-published in a newspaper for the first time in 2001 in Montreal
-got my first book published in Toronto in 2011

my new book comes out this Spring!
I also teach high school. Arts, social sciences, and literature courses mostly.
Those things go a long way towards describing my interests and who I am. Sometimes a person's interests are just that but for me, they go a long way towards defining who I am. The arts and what they mean to life are a very important subject for me and that's why I devote so much time to them.
It's also important to be kind and to have character. A witty, wry sense of humour goes a long way. Sarcasm and obnoxiousness do not.
