My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi I haven't been on here for awhile. I used to write film reviews and film articles for a website. I love film and went to school for media communication which I have a BA in. Fun fact: I am an alumnus of the college Andy Merrill voice of Brak and others on Adult Swim went to (only he's like 10 yrs older). I was one course away from a minor in theatre arts, the course wasn't going to be offered again and the professor wasn't going to make an exception. She offered to do a correspondence course over my last summer, I declined. I had already done summer courses and I needed a break. So, it didn't work out but I did direct plays. I directed a series of Eric Bogosian monologues from "Pounding Nails In The Floor With My Forehead" and co-directed a dinner theatre production for a course.

I am also very into politics and am very liberal just a warning for anyone who maybe conservative. I don't want to get super personal here so if you want to know more please get in contact.

I just want to add that I enjoy the occasional sporting event but I am not a huge sports fan. I don't really like watching them on tv except for special circumstances. If you are a huge sports fan, I'm probably not for you.

I love film and writing about film. I am a fan of comedy and comedians.

I am intelligent, thoughtful, and witty (sometimes)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am trying to have fun living life and enjoying myself as I wander into the brave new future. If you want to know more than that feel free to ask me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
understanding people and making them feel more at ease. I'm really good at being there for people during hard times. I'm a good shoulder to lean on. I'm pretty good at conversation especially if the discussion pertains to politics, religion, or film.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well the first thing is people think I have a lazy right eye. I don't, however, I have a prosthetic eye and it looks like that because of when they did surgery when I was two weeks old. They had to remove my eye because of a tumor. If this is a turnoff, I understand, I need to be upfront though. I am considering an eye patch. People think people with eye patches are sexy and mysterious, right? If you want to know more there's more to tell, just ask.

people tell me that I'm intelligent. I like a good discussion. I like talking about hot topics of the day. I've always been told that I have a good radio voice. I should I was a campus dj for three years in college. :) I have a pretty obvious political bent and am very opinionated about films and politics and other things.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
My favorite books include "Reefer Madness: Sex, Drugs, and Cheap Labor in the American Black Market" by Eric Schlosser, "Catcher In The Rye" by JD Salinger, "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut, "1984" by George Orwell. I love Stephen King novels.
That is just to name a few. I do love to read but I go through phases where I don't read much.

My favorite film of all time is "A Clockwork Orange". I love old, new, classic films of all genres. I love "No Country For Old Men"' and "There Will Be Blood". Other films that are favorites include "M*A*S*H", "The Graduate", "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf", "M", "8 1/2", "The Tin Drum", The Three Colors Trilogy, The Godfather series, "Network", "Metropolis", "Midnight Cowboy", I am a huge Woody Allen fan and I could go on and on as there are many, many more. We'll have to talk film sometime. If you'd like to read my film writing contact me and I will give you my web address.

My favorite musician hands down is Prince. On equal footing, I'd say Billy Joel is a favorite. I love music of all styles. From new to old. Just to name a few artists I enjoy: Elton John, Lady GaGa, Nine Inch Nails, Nellie McKay, Suzanne Vega, any artists from the 80's. I like techno and dance. One of my favorites is Moby but I have many others as well. I like music almost as much as movies...almost. I saw Moby at Area2 in Tinley Park, ILL. One of my all time favorite musical experiences. Busta Rhymes was there as well as Blue Man Group and of course, last but not least David Bowie. Incredible. I loved it. Another amazing concert experience that I had was seeing Prince at Summerfest in the front row! Incredible and it was all thanks to my wonderful sis!

I have a blip.fm account http://www.blip.fm/milwaukeefilmex. It's not extremely varied so it doesn't show my full range but I'm working on adding to it.

Food: I like mexican (love Qdoba) and chinese but I like your classic American stuff too like cheeseburgers (Try Five Guys sometime if you want a great burger). I'm pretty easy on this but have certain foods I cannot eat like fish.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
life in general. I think about the direction of the country and it's affect on future generations and wanting it to be a better world. I spend a lot of time thinking about how we not only need health care with a true public option but also single payer. I spend a lot of time thinking about the dumbing down of our culture and wondering what could be done to reverse the trend.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
not doing a whole lot. Sometimes I'll go see a movie, sometimes I'll stay in and order a pizza. Sometimes I hang out with friends. Fridays have been no big deal for me, I am open to whatever. Lately, I've just been staying in with my cat.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have a cat named Rocky. He's a striped tabby and the coolest cat ever.

There are one or two other things I can tell you when you get to know me.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
you like film or share any similar interests. Even if we don't make a romantic connection, maybe we'd make good friends. You don't have to be a brainiac but I do like good stimulating discussion, so bring it!

you aren't vain about cars or money.
you are looking for some fun.
you aren't looking for a sugardaddy but someone to get to know and spend time with.

You shouldn't message me:

if you don't think we'd make a good connection. If I message you and you don't think we'd make friends or a romantic connection, I would prefer a message back but no message is better than wasting both of our time.
