My name is Nathan, though you can call me Nate if you prefer. I am a native Californian born and raised in Escondido, a medium-sized town better known for the Wild Animal Park, Peterson's Donut Corner and Stone Brewing. I am the last of four boys in a family of 11 and I am the third youngest sibling.
I graduated from UCSD with a degree in Human Biology. Unfortunately,I have come to find that my degree doesn't do much for me in this wondrous economy, even in San Diego, one of the biotech industry hotbeds. Luckily, my commercial driver's license, EMT-B certification and wonderful ability to be a veritable horse trader and B.S. artist keep me sane and either employed or in a state of self-employment. I am working towards eventually having a business of my own and have a few projects in the pipeline I hope will work out.
I have a big love for surf fishing and I go any chance I can get. If I have free time and I am within 10 miles of the ocean, I am literally gone. I often take my dad, who is as addicted as I am but isn't as dexterous as I am for tying the necessary knots. I also collect, trade, shoot and even build firearms of various types and I have a fairly decent collection of them. Pretty good investments I think.
I very recently (Christmas 2013) acquired a Sony A77 camera and have been having a really good time with learning the nuances of the photographic world. I have been using a friend of mine as a model lately and have taken some fairly nice photos of her.
In the summer I have a very badass garden which typically consists of multiple varieties of tomatoes. I wish I could say that my winter garden is an equally big success but the necessary sunlight is often occluded by an overly-tall eucalyptus tree so growing in the winter for me is either very slow or nigh impossible.
I have many other interests as well, though listing them here will not only require me to think of them all but it will reduce what we might talk about should we ever meet.
I am fairly distractable but I come through on my word. I am navigationally challenged but I make it on time. I don't like verbal static but I enjoy a good debate. I hate going to the gym and running but I will totally play a sport as long as its interesting and I'm not alone doing it.
Can't think of much else right now. Maybe I will add something later.
I'm looking for a woman that is cool, cute and Catholic. If you're freedom-oriented, nerdy and know where my profile title comes from, we are going to get along famously.
