I am dark, rivety, and sharp.

My Self-Summary

Hi, thanks for stopping by. I don't think I'll find the right woman on these sites -- I do better in the real world, I'm here more for the tests.

I'm pretty straightforward but I like to keep somethings to myself. Smalltalk stinks. I'm pretty mellow on the outside. I love music -- except country and rap and most pop.

I live for the moment, but that doesn't mean I don't have plans for tomorrow. I don't look nor act my age and I'm kind of quiet.

Oh, and I'm a rivethead. (Google it).

What I’m doing with my life

I'm busy living it, and weathering the economic downturn. I have a BA in tele-communications, audio concentration. I'm a life long learner because if you stop learning things you stagnate.

I'm thinking about moving within the area, I just am not sure where yet. It all depends on where I get a new job, and what I can afford. I'm hoping SF, but would be happy in Redwood City too!

I’m really good at

I'm really good at fixing computers and picking great music to play.

I am what has been termed, an "Idea Gerbil" because I'm always coming with new ideas and ways to do things better.

I'm great at figuring things out intuitively, but I have blind spots in certain situations.

I also have a pretty large vocabulary and good diction but I don't hit people over the head with it -- except for "diction," I love that word. (I'd consider that pompous. )

I'm also really good at being a friend if I want to be friends with someone.

The first things people usually notice about me

You'd have to ask them.
I dress all in black.
Probably my style of dress: Dark and Rivety or Rivety and Dark

I'm usually at home in Black BDUs and a tshirt, or a long sleeve t-shirt/button up shirt if I'm going out.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Movies: Blade Runner, WALL*E, Gross Point Blank, Serenity, Galaxy Quest, Nightwatch & Daywatch, Secretary (purrrr), Fight Club, The Big Lebowski, Pulp Fiction, Ratatouille, Clerks, Kevin Smith to Stanley Kubrick to Terry Gilliam, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Iron Man, Tetsuo: The Iron Man, A Clockwork Orange, A Scanner Darkly, (most sci-fi), Edward Scissorhands and Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back. (Can you tell I'm a sci-fi/fantasy geek yet? No? then keep reading....)

Music: Industrial/EBM/Electro/Darkwave/Goth (Skinny Puppy, Mentallo and the Fixer, Apoptygma Berzerk, Project Pitchfork, wolfsheim, Bauhaus, etc.), Post-Modern (Love and Rockets, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Cure, Pop Will Eat Itself, etc.), Electroclash (Metric, Ladytron, Goldfrapp), Alternative (STP, Regina Spektor, older Garbage, Curve, The Cardigans, Iris, Raveonettes, Everclear), 80s New Wave (Elvis Costello, Adam Ant, David Bowie, Devo, old Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, Pet Shop Boys]]), and straight up punk/rock 'n roll (The Tell-Tale Heartbreakers, Misfits]], [Babyland).

I have about 10000 songs on my iPod and I never leave home without it.

Books (almost entirely Sci-Fi/Fantasy): The Wheel of Time Series, Snowcrash, Neuromancer , Synners, Philip K. Dick, Neil Stephenson, William Gibson.
Food: Italian and Mexican.

I'm reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy right now --finally. It's really good!

TV: The Big Bang Theory is my current favorite, with the BBC version of Coupling way up there. How I met your Mother is up there, but I don't see it much with Heroes back on. I'm a sci-fi geek at heart, so I like Trek -- but I'm the furthest thing from a trekkie -- and the new Doctor Who. The Recent BSG was good the first season or two, but lost me after that, but I did watch the finale which was a bit of a let down. Chuck is another current fav. JJ Abrams earlier series Alias had me hooked all but the last few seasons. Invader Zim I saw on someone's profile and thought, "how could I forget Zim?"

The six things I could never do without

literal:
Air, Water, Food, Shelter, Shower, Love.

Creature comforts:
My MacBook Pro, dancing , Someone to hang out with, Music, Fun.

the 6 things I never leave my house without:
Clothes (of course), Keys, Wallet, iPhone, Glasses, iPod (unless I'm not the one driving)

6 Random things:
Penguins, special bookmarks, Skinny Puppy, Platypusses, Morticia Adamms, Sex.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Possibilities. I'm an efficiency nut. I like to do things as efficiently as possible (the robot in me). I'm always thinking up new music (the creative in me). So much so I took classes so I can hopefully get some of it down and out of my head.

I also think a lot about my next job... Yeah, I'm not employed right now like 10% of the country. :( I look every day and wish for the perfect job.

On a typical Friday night I am

At home or going out. It all depends on which Friday. Two nights ago I went to a friend's house in the hills and partied. Friday, last, I stayed home, the Friday before that I went to a night club and had a good time.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

nothing. I'd rather stay more private. It's part of my DNA.

"I love green eyes"? How's that?

You should message me if

...you feel like it, and you're not a snob or mean...

If there's any other rivethead/gothy types out there that I don't know who'd like to be friends. Or really open minded people (about music that is.) It's not mandatory, but it doesn't hurt.

You match me more than 80%.

People have described you as "cute."
