I love to meet people and try new things! I love theater live music and all performing arts. I'm currently a firmware engineer and generally love what I do. I play woodwinds in a few local musical ensembles. When I'm not out being silly I mentor high school students through a program called FIRST. I highly value education and learning. I'm very much a lifelong learner and keep on contemplating going back to school for a second MS degree. Along with learning I love to teach and find it quite rewarding, which is why I teach high schoolers 'bout engineering. Although these profiles serve their purpose, putting yourself into words isn't completely natural (We're obviosuly too awesome to be put into words!).

I am goofy, brash, and awesome

Lots and lots of different and diverse things... From 8-5 (or later) I work as a firmware engineer. Some nights I mentor high school students and teach them about math, science, engineering, and the close relationship. There are many other nights that I go out to a rehearsal or have a gig. One of the milestones I recently hit is the purchase of my first home, so I'm slowly getting that to where I want it to be.

Figuring out how stuff works... It's been the basis of why I wanted to be an engineer kind of person... I still like to take things apart and muck around with 'em... I can even get them back together and working without all the parts! (:

Making folks smile through different mediums... Listening, comforting, and silliness are all part of my repertoire.

Making it look and sound like I know what I'm doing when I play music... Sure it may not be perfect, but what matters is if it pleases someone in the audience!

I think this depends on how a person encounters me... If one were to meet me while I'm with a group of familiar people, the first thing they may notice is a big personality and a loud mouth to match... One that were to meet me "cold" would probably notice my smile... I'm near always smiling and it's been said "[I] have a contagious smile".

I haven't read a non-fiction work in ages! I enjoy some non-fiction (like biographies, surveys, theory, etc.) in fields that I find interesting (Music, instrumental physics, logic, reasoning, social engineering, the list could get quite long if I keep going, so I'll stop).

I love all sorts of movies! Probably my favorite of all time would be The Blues Brothers! Other movies I enjoy... American Beauty, Not Another Teen Movie, My Cousin Vinny, and many others! I check out all genres and love to watch (and make fun of) really bad B-horror type flicks.

Music is a big thing to me... If you go through my collection you'll find everything from The New World Symphony, to Sonny Rollins, to Tool, and even extending out to some Rap/R&B and country... My preference is focused on Jazz and Instrumental Music, which is where I get ideas, inspiration, and enjoyment for my playing... A lot of time in the car you'll hear some good ol' classic rock on!

You want to engage in the lost art of conversation. If you think that I'm an interesting-ish kind of person. If you're interested in science, engineering, or math. If you are a self proclaimed nerd and not afraid to admit it. If you want to teach me something and/or want me to teach you something (I'm very open to learning)!
