Update : I have heard that girls want to hear more than the basic bs in a profile, well you're in luck, because i love to write and I'm kind of verbose, so...

Well, let's see. I am a very creative person who likes to have a lot of fun; and I am a true extrovert. I love to laugh, especially at myself. And I can adapt to pretty much anyone, any setting, or anything around me.

I love the outdoors but absolutely hate the cold. (I will never live north of Addison; you don't have to shovel rain :-) I like staying in too, just depends; sometimes a night on the couch with a DVD is a good thing.

I have been self employed for almost 10 years now; and I love it. Primarily I design and build large hotel and hospitality (restaurants, casinos, etc.) developments across the nation. It is creative and fun, but like all jobs; it can have its days that are just...blah. I like to think I bring a kind of mix of blue collar attitude with the starched shirt presence. I can go out and walk high steel with the iron workers, and still come inside and meet with the interior designers and pick colors.

This is where you should be guessing I’m a bit different or maybe just weird :-)

Work Life : Like I said, I have been self employed for over 10 years now; and I love it. Unfortunately, I work a little too much sometimes.

Home Life : Raising two teenage boys (20 & 17), which has gotten a lot easier in the last couple of years. The oldest went off to a college out of state, and the youngest is in high school. Aside from the boys, I keep myself busy with little house projects, which I have going all the time.

Amazingly enough, I am a damn good cook, not Iron Chef stuff yet; but I really enjoy it. So much so, I might go back to culinary school in a couple of years because it just sounds like fun.

I am pretty handy around the house, after all "if they can't find ya' handsome, they can at least find ya' handy".

I am also really good at making people laugh and having a really good time no matter where I am or what is going on around me.

I'm really not sure. My beard maybe (which might be long one month and short the next) or that I am fairly tall, or my tattoos. I don't know - someone needs to tell me.

Books : When I get the chance to read, it's usually a book on photography or cooking. But mostly, I have to read for work. I am trying to get through the Fifty Shades Series, but it is like reading Twilight with some bondage porn thrown in – taking forever. I it because I was asked to; God it is sucking so bad, the author knows nothing about that Lifestyle. (Update : I did actually finish that load of tripe, God I want that time back)

Movies : Action and comedy movies are usually my thing, although you might catch me watching something on the Disney Channel from time to time (shhh...don't tell anyone). But I will tell you "Princess Bride", "The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo" and "Shawshank Redemption" are three of my all time favorites.

Shows : Any live performance is awesome with me. Theatre, stage, concerts, etc. I spend more on shows when I'm in Las Vegas than I do gambling.

Music : I am very eclectic when it comes to music. I have about 4500 albums on my media server, everything from Alternative to Celtic to Heavy Metal to Zydeco. Trying to get into the new Texas Country scene but not quite there yet.

Food : I will try it all and drag you there with me if you'll let me. I love to go and then try new foods and try to recreate them at home. Getting pretty darn good at it too.

I would say my children, but they are getting where they only want Dad around for food and money :-) So......

1. Coffee
2. Spicy Foods and Texas BBQ
3. Air Conditioning (don't lie, you couldn't do without it either).
4. An adult beverage while on a nice patio
5. A night out with friends or a night in with someone special.
6. An outlet for my creative side.

Sadly, work stuff. But after that, here lately its been all about fraternities for the oldest son and drivers ed for the youngest. I, also, spend a lot of time thinking about ways to go get in trouble without getting caught - a boy needs to have a little fun now and again :-)

There are no "Typical Friday Nights". After a hard week, I may be hanging at the house grilling. I might be down at the Cigar Lounge just relaxing. I might be at the Symphony with friends, or at Red's Roadhouse on the patio listening to a live band.

But what do you want to do ?

I once had a glass of blush wine while watching a Lindsay Lohan movie. Just kidding, .....maybe :-)

Or possibly that I read these Profiles from the Bottom Up - seems to make more sense that way. And, I look at the questions/answers, before I look at the photos. I, also, don't do the whole "match search" thing, if I have looked at your profile it's because you came up as a "quiver match" or you were on my "start page" across the top/side and you had a good match percent. And, if I didn't write you, it's because I most likely just didn't have the time right that minute.

Anyway, I'm not really a private person, so ask away. i"m an open book.

If you want to go out have some fun, maybe see if there's a spark; or if something in all this mess sounded good to you.

Or if you just need to "Contact 5 new people to reach 85% profile completion" :-P

Deal killers : I have tattoos, none show when I am dressed up but they show when I'm in shorts, and when I am in a short sleeve shirt. Yes, I have a lot of ink; and no I don't regret them. I got my first at 30.

To unwind after work I mess around in the garage and smoke a cigar; and no, I won't smoke in front of a lady but I still do it.

I am a Type A personality, I take charge of most situations. You will have to be really dynamic if you want me to be in the back seat.

I have been in every type of relationship you want to venture down. My past is certainly not "vanilla", and my future may not be either, but only time will tell.

If you don't want a guy who will text you through your day and call you every night, then I’m, not for you. I'm not clingy, but if I am in a relationship I believe the foundation is communication and spending time with each other.
