My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a pretty laid back guy. I like spending time with my friends and family, especially at a bar or the beach, but anywhere will do. I like making people laugh, and getting into a good book. I'm pretty good at going with the flow. Which I guess is another way of saying laid back, but these things are hard.

Also, I find that people usually single me out to ask for help or directions, even if I have my headphones on and/or I am reading. I don't really know what that means, but it's gotta be something, right?

UPDATE: No beard for the summer. I shaved that bad boy off, never to return again.... until like, September or something.

UPDATE 2: I now have a beard again.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Reading, going to brunch, watching sports/jeopardy, trying to get the most out of it.

Basically just trying to figure things out I suppose.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Finding the perfect song on the jukebox, dancing inappropriately, coming up with obscure references usually related to nostalgic things you may not have ever gotten into. Like Dinosaucers. What a fun show that was.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Freedom and The Corrections, The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay, The Great Gatsby, The Catcher in the Rye, A Song of Ice and Fire, 1984, Slaughterhouse Five, The Road. Blood Meridian. Jeez that one, Whoooof. I have an ambitious summer reading list for myself which I am currently on my way to not completing.

UPDATE: I completed nearly none of my summer reading list and I'm ok with it.

Drive, The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Braveheart, The Departed, Pulp Fiction, The Godfather (Part II is my favorite), One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, Coen Brothers movies, PT Anderson, Wes Anderson especially The Royal Tenenbaums which is my favorite movie, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Old School, that's a good one.

Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, classic Simpsons, The Walking Dead, It's Always Sunny, Archer. Broad City and True Detective are amazing. So happy TD is back in my life.

UPDATE: TD Season 2 ended up not being so great. Oh well..

I guess I watch the usual stuff, but sometimes it takes me a minute to actually start things. Just starting to get into Homeland.

David Bowie, Grizzly Bear, The National, Radiohead, The Beatles, The Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens always always always, Simon and Garfunkle, Future Islands, Caveman, Beach House. I like loads of music. I generally go through phases with this stuff. Indie/Surf pop has been running my life of late. Run the Jewels.

I like all the food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family and friends
Corrective Lenses in some form
Unlimited Metrocard
Day Drinking in the sun
The ocean
Reading material
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Used to be LOST stuff.... now it's mostly how I can manage my time better, and sometimes about buying the world a Coke.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at happy hour with friends
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I often catch myself making odd faces while I'm walking by myself. Sometimes around strangers. Thankfully they usually don't bring it up.
