My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've lived in Ireland, California and upstate NY, but I grew up in NYC. I love being in nature, but NYC is in my blood and I drive like an old-school cabbie. I majored in economics and philosophy yet became a massage therapist and then later an acupuncturist. I dig ancient Greek philosophy, especially Plato, from whom I learned that the key to a good life is loving what one does.

I balance intellect with musical, artistic, meditative, physical and outdoor pursuits . I'm a healer with many tools & skills, but I've learned to make sure I put the oxygen mask on myself before offering help to anyone else.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Practicing Chinese medicine. My lifestyle is all about cultivating good health, spiritual growth, knowledge and wisdom.

Playing & teaching traditional Irish music on the wooden flute.

Yoga, Qigong, Gyrotonic, Kettlebells, Skiing, Hiking, Camping, Backpacking, Dancing, Cooking, Kayaking, Swimming in the Ocean, Playing Music.

Backpacking---I've always loved camping and hiking, and backpacking combines and intensifies them. I'd love to spend a couple of weeks on a trail, and it would be fun to do with a partner.

I've also gotten really into skiing in the past couple of years. This year was such great skiing!!

Dancing at dawn at Burning Man & making costumes.

I travel to the Catskills for work a couple of times a month. So you get the picture---I'm an active woman and I need a guy who can keep up!!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Food---Wild fish, grass-fed meat and organic veggies. Local whenever possible. Sometimes I remind myself of that Portlandia episode, "where did this chicken come from? was he happy?"
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
the truth is I think this is a silly question; I could do without a lot of THINGS--most of them actually--but I'll play the game.

*my flute and musical friends to play with
*a plane ticket to a tropical destination in winter
*mountain trails to hike
*coconut oil --here's a laugh for you:
*coffee is on the list these days...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I try to be present to every moment and not get stuck in my head.

I don't spend a lot of time thinking about this, but an article called "This is How We Date Now"---really speaks to my experience. I'm beyond jaded with online dating. Swipe, And yet I'm somehow still hopeful and optimistic that maybe, just maybe I'll meet someone great here and be done with dating...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I have a great group of friends that I love to socialize with and have some dinner with.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
