My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Dutifully noting that I have a partner (xxstein) so I'm looking for something platonic.

(I.E. I AM ONLY LOOKING FOR FRIENDS SO PLEASE STOP ASKING IF I WANT TO BE THE THIRD IN YOUR THREESOME. I DO NOT.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work in a bookshop, vintage clothing boutique and write freelance for various places. I've just moved to London and am patiently waiting for my life to start :3
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I can watch a whole DVD boxset in one afternoon. I can incorporate sequins and tulle into any outfit. I can read a novel in a day. I can probably beat you at Mario Kart. I can make a casserole. I can make a cheesecake. I can make things out of clay and eat hay by the bay. I can do the CD-swap thing for PS1 in like, three tries. I can tell you the word you're trying to think of in under five suggestions.
The first things people usually notice about me

In terms of books, anything by Anne Rice or Anne Bishop, Richard Adams or Leo Tolstoy, Sheryl Jordan, Janet Fitch, Donna Tartt, Stephen Chbosky, Lois Lowry, Frank De Felita, Lewis Carroll, Frances Hodgeson Burnett, Virginia Woolf. I like revisiting children's books now that I'm all grown up and seeing what I missed.

I like the plays of Anton Chekhov and the poetry of e.e. cummings, William Carlos Williams, Sylvia Plath, Emily Dickinson, Emily Zooey Baker and Jeanann Verlee.

I enjoy graphic novels like the Wet Moon series, Ghost World, Watchmen, Lost Girls... I'm getting into Rashida Jones' new comic as well. I read a lot of webcomics too: Achewood, The Non-adventures of Wonderella, Oglaf, XKCD, Moon Over June, White Ninja, Purple Pussy.

I also like reading nonfiction anthopology-ish things, like The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat, Watching the English, Don't Sleep There Are Snakes, On Photography, Reviving Ophelia, The Beauty Myth, Eating Animals. Also bell hooks and anything on zine culture or riot grrrl.

Some of my favourite films are Labyrinth, Imagine Me & You, Empire Records, Dr Horrible's Sing-along Blog, The Craft, Ghost World, But I'm a Cheerleader, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Breakfast Club, Clueless, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, Harold & Maude, Cabaret, The Princess Bride, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Thirteen, The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I also love a bit of anything by Studio Ghibli, and like most people my age I can quote Mean Girls by heart.

I love television. The L Word, Lip Service, Ouran High School Host Club, Flight of the Conchords, Workaholics, Breaking Bad, Skins, Black Books, Parks and Recreation, Doctor Who, Green Wing, Arrested Development, Adventure Time, Dead Like Me, Drawn Together. Also: Horrible Histories, QI and Planet Earth have taught me everything I know.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how to dismantle the kyriarchy.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
queuing blogs for the week, or something else equally banal.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I am a huge Jedward fan.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to bake (with cake ingredients or aforementioned gillyweed), go to museums and/or gay bars, have a crafternoon or just hang out and watch Horrible Histories and Adventure Time.

If you don't live near me I'd also be interested in chatting online. I'm on Tumblr, Neopets, IMVU and Twitter. Maybe you know another hella awesome website for me to procrastinate with? Lately I've been tempted to join RuneScape and relive my adolescent years...

I'd especially love to meet squatters, zinesters, artists, poets, people who can design tattoos, people who can teach me how to read and write Japanese, people who don't make dumb jokes about minorities, people who can out-nerd me.
