My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a poly, kinky bi guy who's a science fiction fan and an avid cyclist - so much so that I've never owned a car. I love music with great lyrics and can talk about it for hours. I also like word games, both in the "Scrabble" and "Boggle" sense of the word and in the "making cheap and corny puns" cents of the word.

I'm seeing CelticWisdom and mimi_lp on this site.

I am quirky, insightful, and independent
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working as a computer geek consultant and seeking enlightenment through careful attention to the cycles of my life (and my bicycle wheels).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making music compilations, thinking about leftist political theory, living simply, massage, consensual play.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I've got dreadlocks and I wear two differently-colored shoes.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
NOTE: if I've read, seen, or listened to almost everything by someone (and am willing to admit it :-) then I've marked them as one of my interests.

(a) BOOKS!

_Jonathan Livingston Seagull_ (Richard Bach), _Bone Dance_ (Emma Bull), _Parable of the Sower_ and _Parable of the Talents_ (RIP Octavia Butler), _Stiffed_ (Susan Faludi), _Negrophobia_ (Darius James), the "Andrej The Torturer" series (Susan Matthews), most anything by Spider Robinson, The Pern books by Anne McCaffrey (guilty pleasure), _China Mountain Zhang_ (Maureen McHugh), _V For Vendetta_ (Alan Moore, and I *really* liked the movie!), anything by Michael Moore, _Wenches, Witches, and Strumpets_ (Aishling Morgan), The Morning After_ (Katie Roiphe), _Was_ (Geoff Ryman), most anything by Norman Spinrad, _Steel Beach_ (John Varley). And I'm assuredly forgetting many others.

(b) MOVIES!

Betty Blue, Bladerunner, Buckaroo Banzai, Bulworth, Diva, Falcoln and the Snowman, Fight Club, The Hunger, Insignificance (and just about anything by Nicolas Roeg), Jackie Brown, Lone Star (John Sayles is my favorite director), Love Crimes, the "Mad Max" series, Memento, Return To Waterloo, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Romeo Is Bleeding (and just about anything with Gary Oldman), Ronin, She's Gotta Have It (Spike Lee is my *second*-favorite director), Stalker, Trainspotting, The Wall, Wild Things.

(c) MUSIC!

ABC, Jello Biafra (especially when he was still singing with the original Dead Kennedys), Bicycle, Billy Bragg, Julie Brown, Kate Bush, Chess (musical), Chumbawamba, Leonard Cohen, Paula Cole, Consolidated, The Coup, Depeche Mode, Ani Difranco, Thomas Dolby (and I am *so* looking forward to seeing him live!), Eurythmics, Ferron, Michael Franti (in The Beatnigs, Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy, and Spearhead), Peter Gabriel, Gaia Consort, (original) INXS, Joe Jackson, Howard Jones, Christine Lavin, Tom Lehrer, Living Colour, Kristi Martel, John Mellencamp, Midnight Oil, Moby, Alison Moyet, Ms. Led, Meshell Ndegeocello, No Doubt, Paris, Prince, Public Enemy, Rage Against The Machine, Sade, Gil Scott-Heron, Seal, Patti Smith, Tears For Fears, Urban Dance Squad, Suzanne Vega, Voice of the Beehive, Was (Not Was).

d) FOODS!

I'm a vegetarian (but not a picky eater and you don't *have* to be one yourself). I especially like carbs!

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Cycling, good friends, making the world a better place, music, alone time, and sex.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
what Utopia would look like and how to get there. And how to make a world that works for everyone rather than just a few.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
teaching, going out, renting a video, reading a book, killing time on the internet, listening to music, talking to friends on the phone... I don't *have* typical Friday nights :-).
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have over 15 stuffed animals and sleep with some of them (not in that way!). Personal favorites include Opus the Penguin and Max 3 the Clip-On Koala Bear, who lives on my bicycle's right seat stay (and has a velcro seat-belt since Max 1 left me in San Francisco as I bicycled down the coast to Tijuana in 2004 (Max 2 is still on the frame of the bike that got rear-ended and totalled in 2012, and Max 3 is on the frame of my new Rivendell Hunqapillar).
