I am incredibly sarcastic and a tad bit abrasive, and for some reason those qualities seem amplified when I am writing. That being said, I truly enjoy writing, but am often so busy I do not get the chance to do so. I am currently in college finishing up my English degree because the masochist in me wants to be a High School English Teacher. I want to be that teacher that gives her kids a passion for English because I am not a total bitch and I give them reasons to appreciate my own passion with language.

I enjoy cooking, especially with fresh vegetables and meat. I love flavor and spices and am always willing to flex my culinary fingers in any new direction. Since moving to New Mexico 4 years ago I have fallen in love with the food here and enjoy mixing the New Mexican genre in with my other favorite types of food. I find that I can recreate almost anything I love into something new and am always pleased with myself when I pull off a creation well. I love cooking for large groups and I love, love, love, being a hostess. I am the kind of person that will wander a room filling up wine glasses and making sure that everyone is having a good time. I am a very social person.

I like some classical ‘girl’ things like shopping, make-up, and the occasional chick flick, but I am far from your typical girl. I am a sports junkie. I am an avid follower of all things MMA. I love good scotch, chicken wings, cold beer, and crass jokes. I have a foul mouth, but I know how to be appropriate when I need to be a.k.a. I clean up very nicely. ;) I am comfortable with who I am and enjoy being myself. I love talking politics, arguing politics, and hearing new opinions. The perfect person for me has to love open discussions and be willing to entertain me by telling me I am wrong every once in a while so we can have a good debate.

I am a full time mom and that will not be changing at all. I absolutely love my son and I know that can be a hard line for some people. I am not able to go out much to do the whole bar thing, which I am fine with, but a lot of people who would be interested in dating me are not. I am a very devoted Mother and that is the most important thing in my life. If I do end up dating someone seriously again it will be a person that absolutely understands what kind of mother I am and respects me for that.

Even before my son I was never much of a bar person, I got that out quite early in my life. I love a nice dinner and a good movie at home. I like low-key activities. I love camping and fishing and am often happiest during the summer on a 14 foot aluminum boat with my pole in the water by 6 am. I am looking for someone that can be my friend, my confidant, my partner-in-crime, and someone I can depend on. I have been through life and I know what is out there and I am not willing to settle for anything less than the best.

Finishing up my degree in English. I am a 4.0 student and I take my education very seriously. I am a full time mommy to the best toddler I know. I work as a personal assistant and help keep my families busy lives and schedules organized. I love photography, writing, and finishing the day with a nice glass of scotch. I try and stay up on all things politics and MMA in my free time.
