My self-summary
igneously bold and rambunctious international maiden

My name is Jessica, but most people call me Jess. I spent my whole life changing my mind when it came to deciding what I wanted to be when I grew up. I picked Social Work knowing next to nothing about it and now I wouldn't change if you paid me. Finished my BA, taking a year out of study before heading back for post-grad, my official title for the year is "Community Support Worker", whee hee. I am a New Zealander of Greek, Welsh and various other descents. I'm the youngest of three children, and the only girl, so I grew up being a bit of a spoilt brat. I think I've grown out of it. I'm a loner by nature, but I know far far too many people to execute it properly. I love falling asleep with David Attenborough's voice on the TV in the background. Thats a little bizarre. I'm a super-Aunt, I have six nephews and one niece. I enjoy playing badminton and rowing for semi-long periods of time on rowing machines. I enjoy the sound of silence. Apathy annoys me. I'm an alturist, I donate blood, I get a strange sort of pleasure watching it run down the tubes. I volunteer for an awesome organisation which helps youth. It keeps me busy. I love driving, my car is called the Silver Stallion. I have a cactus called Spike, still haven't killed it after three years, so all is going well.

I am optimistic, pedantic, and geeky
What I’m doing with my life
Becoming a Social worker, the plan is to work for Child, Youth and Family eventually and then end up policy writing for the Ministry of Social Development. Going to try and change the horrendous child maltreatment figures in this country, somehow. I'll let you know how that one goes. Oh and I'm going to be a Mum... not just yet or anything, but one day, thats the plan. Maybe I'll wear a cape.
I’m really good at
Procrastination. I'm really good at spending five or six straight hours reading without even realising. I'm exceptionally good at snuggling for hours on end. I'm a good listener and I give good hugs. I can cheer anyone up, quite often it involves making a complete fool of myself. I also give out the most wicked nicknames you'll ever hear, you'll have to be incredibly fortunate to get one. I'm really good at making pumpkin soup, anzac biscuits, chocolate brownies and date scones. Smiling. Painting... Photography... Art rocks my socks. Apparently I have my own type of humour, what does that even mean? I feel as though I am misunderstood half the time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm the one hiding behind the tree? I can be a bit shy. Very shy. I get over it soon enough, infact I might even be growing out of it a little. In a superficial sense? I'm tall, I wear glasses, my hair is usually too long, but at the moment its the shortest its been in about seven years. I have three freckles running along the side of my face close to my jawline, everyone tells me its like Orions belt. In my opinion, thats a random thing to say to someone. I smile at people when I'm nervous.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Oh... so we're not doing brain transplants now? okay then.

The friends I've lost contact with over the years. Spelling and Grammar essentials. Books... storylines that constantly live inside of my head. Love. My family, with all their problems. Weather... will it hurry up and snow so I can go snowboarding? Where I've gone wrong with things. Social work. People I've hurt. My cat Rosie. How make progressive change. Saving the world one day at a time.

On a typical Friday night I am
Curled up on the couch reading, or watching TV and/or talking to my flatmates. I used to be a tad bit addicted to the Sims, fortunately I have moved on. Playing badminton. Playing some ridiculous computer game with my geeky geeky friend and flatmate. Baking perhaps? Occasionally you might find me drinking. At the moment I'm editing my friend's book... tedious stuff. Lately I've been catching up with as many people as possible. You never know.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
In form 2 I tripped up Ben Morgan purposely, I didn't make him get a bleeding nose purposely. I was after all in love with him and everything. Hahaha. At one stage in my life I was considering applying to join the police force. Anyway, then I found out the picky bastards don't like people who don't have perfect vision. Perhaps one day when they've gotten over themselves they might reconsider. And on a completely unrelated note, I have a fetish for hands. Ask and I may explain it to you.
