I am open, quink, and true.

My Self-Summary

i like swans and owls. I am a bit gay at heart. Intelligent but forgetful. I still like making dens and searching for the secret that keeps the stars apart. I thought I found the love of my life but it didn't work out. I'm plotting my exit from London but not for a while, can't wait for the day I can have a dog and fields to roam in but London calls for the present.

What I’m doing with my life

longing for the countryside, eating raw peas, trying to write, training in psychotherapy, lighting fires. I work on rehabilitation for former prisoners which takes up quite a bit of time. I also try to write the eternal, evasive novel, practice kung fu and become more and more alive. [as well as watch a bit of the wire...]

I’m really good at

Getting lost, making friends [particularly with animals], going deep, running past people in busy streets, learning and forgetting, saying lines of Neruda poetry in Spanish, back massages, catching maltesers in my mouth.

The first things people usually notice about me

That i get to the point, that I like stripes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Let the right one in, a bout de souffle, watership down.
Herman Hesse, Virginia Woolf, TS Eliot, ee cummings, Seamus Heaney, Alice Munroe. Raw peas, sushi, very occasional roast beef, tomato juice [especially on aeroplanes, sometimes with vodka in].

The six things I could never do without

Basil [the dog]
Poetry
Back tickles and massages
My sisters
Raw Peas
Pontesford Hill / The Devil's Chair / the woods [i'm a cheat]

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The origins of the quibble
Whether I'll ever find her
Basil
Whether to go to kung fu

On a typical Friday night I am

With friends, doing kung fu, dancing at Passing Clouds

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I know where the treasure is.

You should message me if

You care, you are a bright spark, you are trying to be good, you can love deeply, you can use your brain in combination with your heart, you are attractive but not vain.
