I am amusing, truthful, and happy.

My Self-Summary

I love conversation and conflict therein. Few things are as enjoyable as free expression with good people. Also, I enjoy time spent with my friends. No matter where I am, its a great time as long as I am surrounded by the people I trust and adore.
I am believe that truth and trust are the greatest virtues that we have concerning our relationships and I endeavor to possess them both in great quantity.
I am sometimes shy. I have a wide ranging sense of humor. (read as: occasionally offensive, caustic, and or unintentionally insulting). I love to be irreverent and am not really sure if there is anything that cannot be made into a joke.
I take great pleasure in life and believe that happiness is both imperative and attainable.
I have the benefit of living a charmed life. Good things tend to happen to me and those that surround me.

What I’m doing with my life

Right now I suppose that I am in some sort of limbo. I work freelance construction and take other bit work as it presents itself. Also, I help to care for my grandmother and my cousin who both have some health problems. I have no defined longterm plan, though my life tends to throw things my way that I will enjoy and that allow me to pay my bills.
Other than that I love to go to the movies and spend time with my friends. Recently I have found a local winery that I have had a great deal of fun bringing people to.
I have begun woodworking with a friend of mine and am enjoying it immensely.

I’m really good at

I have a host personality so I am good at making things go smoothly, that is if i want to, which i usually do. I read recently that a gentleman's job is to make life enjoyable and easier for those around him. This seemed to describe me quite well.

Stepping over lines.

Laughing at inappropriate times.

Saying something really funny.

Arguing.

Having a conversation.

Being "The Fuzz"

I can cook quite well. Also I am a fair hand at baking. And no they are not the same.

The first things people usually notice about me

That seems like the kind of thing that I cannot answer, as I am not "people".

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

no particular order...
The Fifth Element, Grosse Point Blank, Leon the Professional, The Big Kahuna, The Incredibles, The Big Lebowski, The Postman, Super Troopers, Pitch Black, Aliens, Star Wars, Pulp Fiction, Clerks, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Bravehart, Rain Man, Breakfast Club, Scent of a Woman, Full Metal Jacket, High Fidelity, American History X, Boondock Saints, Secretary, The Godfather, Tombstone, Heat, Fight Club, the Dark Kinght, 300, Stardust, and the list goes on, one of my favorite things to do is go to the movies.

I read all the time generally i have read science fantasy and western philosophy but i dabble in all the other genres on occasion. the list is as follows...
1. Starship Troopers, 2. Calvin and Hobbes (all), 3. Stranger in a Strange Land, 4. Where the Wild Things Are, 5. The Prince (mansfield Trans.), 6. Enders Game, 7. Hagakure, 8. Stone Of Tears, 9. Art of War (Sun Tsu), 10. Transmetropolitan (all) also World War Z just vaulted into the top ten but i don't feel like rearranging my numbers now. Know that it is awesome and everyone should read it. Random other things that are great... The Fountainhead, Sword of Truth series, The OED, Freakonomics, The pre 76 joy of cooking,

As for music I'm not that particular though I generally avoid rap and country, though there are a few guilty pleasures. I grew up during alternative and consequently i listen to that a lot. Also I went through a metal phase. Otherwise I like punk, classic rock, oldies, classical (the St. Matthew Passion is the greatest piece of music ever written specifically I like the herreweghe conduction), and I'm up for anything new or old if it sounds good.

The six things I could never do without

my friends
books
movies
the interwebs
tea
the sun

On a typical Friday night I am

Watching a movie, with friends, driving somewhere, sleeping, working, watching tv, gaming, cooking/baking. I am not really the planning or schedule type, though I am always on time. I'll go and do whatever strikes my fancy.
