I live in Vermont. Barnet to be exact. I am sorry to mislead you. I do value honesty, and honestly, pickens' are a bit scarce up here in Northern Vermont. I am just trying to broaden the field or deepen the sea or what have you.

So what am I doing here in the backwoods? Good question. All I know is that my family lived here for about 5 years when I was a child, and I guess my heart put roots in the rich soil we have here because the pull to come back just tugged at me until I did so in 2008.

And now I have a job that is exactly inline with the development of my career, so it seems I will be here for a while yet. Career is a huge focus for me, but I am young and I crave the cultural stimulation of a more vibrant place. I like good food, art (visual and performance), dancing, cafes, and people watching. To find this, I head to Montreal, Boston, or New York with some frequency.

And that's where you come in...care to show this country mouse the city lights?

Finding the good in myself, sharing it, and helping others do the same.

Walking in the dark. Listening when someone is talking. (Sounds simple, but do you know many people who can do that?) Fixing random broken things. Being there when someone needs me.

Another friend gave me the adjective "willful." He was surprised when I was insulted, so we looked the word up. Indeed, the connotation of the word is not so nice, so he told me what he meant. He was thinking willful as in to be strong willed, full of heart, and determined. So, there you have it. This is the true definition of the word. And I am willful.

I have trouble picking favorites. I love to read. Guided by my own whims, I read more fiction than nonfiction, but I am also an avid student of life. I surround myself in books on topics I find interesting. I enjoy movies and am a netflix subscriber. I am not such a fan of horrors or suspense and certain kinds of comedy just don't do it for me.

Lately, my job. It has many facets to it, and I am on a huge learning curve. Luckily, I really enjoy the process of striving to do it well.

Having dinner with friends, driving to a near-by city (NYC, Boston, Burlington, or Montreal) for a weekend of dancing and fun, going to a yoga class, or watching a movie at home.
