My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
*** Full disclosure: I'm non-monogamous, poly, open, NSPP, whatever word flies your flag, and currently living with my wonderful partner ravenfirebrand. That said, there's plenty to discuss. I hope to find partners to share lifelong experiences, and have no fear of commitment, but also no need for it to manifest instantly. Basically, I'm looking for someone along the continuum between partner, lover and Rock Band-mate. Preferably one with a major appetite for cinema, food and doin' it, of course. There, I admit it, I AM trying to get into your pants. Well, more like get you out of them. But what the hell's so wrong with pantslessness, I ask you? ***

I'm an Israeli who chose Seattle as a second home, not only because I love this great city but also due to it being about as close as I was willing to get to L.A. In my spare time from working for the man to pay the bills and such, I like to make movies, shoot pictures, model for sculptures and generally enjoy artistic mayhem, though I've been away from major creative endeavors for far too long. I also read a lot of comics (or, if you prefer, graphic novels, as sometimes these babies transcend the comic into true literature), play video games, rock out to loud music, and abuse the interest tags.

I am provocative, perfectionistic, and playful
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Along with the more mundane things, writing a solid feature screenplay, or maybe just directing a high-quality short film. Y'know, something seriously festivalable. Oscar by 40, baby! (Recently rescheduled that goal by 5 more years. Sigh.)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making fun of everything. Taking it easy. I mean, real easy. Also eating chocolate, I've perfected that to an artform. Especially if marzipan is somehow involved.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my awesome hair. Maybe my deep blue eyes, if one looks past the glasses. Absolutely my ass. Or package. Or that I'm a total goofball and (mostly) kidding about those last two.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I always avoid filling these kind of sections out because I'm not one to narrow the list down to top 5 or some shit like that, and listing everything I like would just take too damn long...

Sigh. I'll try. This will be under construction for a long time, but for now:

Books. Mostly pending, I'll get to youse guys in a bit. But let's go with some authors for now: Nicholson Baker, Martin Amis, T.C. Boyle, Etgar Keret, Kurt Vonnegut, Douglas Adams, Margaret Atwood, Ursula Le Guin, J.R.R. Tolkien, Roger Zelazny, Ray Bradbury, Neal Stephenson, Neil Gaiman, Warren Ellis, Alan Moore, Grant Morrison, Garth Ennis, Brian K. Vaughan, Robert Kirkman, Eric Powell (KNIFE TO THE EYE!!!)

Movies. This part will be hardest, so that'll come last.

Music. Hmmm... in no prticular order: Radiohead, Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Faith No More (and practically anything Mike Patton touches), Nine Inch Nails, The White Stripes, The Black Keys, The Webb Brothers, Franz Ferdinand, Spacehog, Grandaddy, Electric Six, Dresden Dolls, Rilo Kiley (and Jenny Lewis' solo work), Beck, Zero 7 (and thus Sia as well), Portishead (and thus Beth Gibbons' solo stuff), Beth Orton, Cat Power, Feist, Massive Attack, Goldfrapp, Moloko, Hooverphonic, New Order, Bent, The Avalanches, Underworld, Faultline, Dan the Automator (under whichever persona he's using at any given moment but especially Lovage and Handsome Boy Modeling School), Gorillaz, Beastie Boys... I'm forgetting many, for sure, and will likely yoink them off other people's profiles or add them once I finally sort out my CDs.

Food. Oh, I'll eat anything. Seattle has taught me to love sushi and pho with an often unreserved passion, and being Israeli, I require good falafel and shawarma on a regular basis. Other favorites are pretty much anything that in one form or another falls under Middle Eastern (Persian, Egyptian, Lebanese, Yemenite, Turkish, Greek...), Thai, Indian, Italian, French, Mexican, and most American (burgers, steak, ribs, fried chicken with baked beans, mashed potatoes and corn bread...) Of course, when it comes to food, it's dessert I'm truly mad for -- chocolate mousse (still looking for anything remotely as good as my mom's recipe), apple pie, creme brulee... damn, I gotta stop, I'm salivating all over the keyboard here, the clacking of keys becoming a bell to my Pavlovian dog of a brain.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Good food, great movies, awesome music, fantastic people, deliriously wonderful chocolate, even more delicious sex. Not necessarily in that order.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Ideas for a really good feature screenplay. When I can get my next fix of multiplayer Rock Band, since I finally own an Xbox 360 but lack some readily-available other players. What's a good movie, show or event to go to this weekend. What's going on with my family and friends back in Israel.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Trying to get through as many of my soon-to-be overdue library DVDs. There are usually about 20 of 'em sitting next to the TV at any given time, and at least a third need to be returned.

On the first Friday of every month, though, I do my best to attend that month's installment of a local late night variety cabaret. Perhaps you'd care to join me sometime?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a firm believer in fucking on the first date. Not always, mind you, but to me a strong sexual connection is just as important as anything else in a relationship and making the best of an animal, chemical, carnal attraction is a great way to end a date. Not to mention that I find no fault with someone wanting to sleep with me right away. Hell, if anything, good sex on the first date should only make one want to see you more, right?

Also, while I'd generally describe myself as easygoing and laid back, I suppose some people who know me might toss "hyper" in there -- among my close circle of Israeli friends I'm known by a Hebrew word that translates as "The Driller" and basically means I often converse in such strong terms and passion that it's akin to a jackhammer to your head. In my defense, three of those friends hold philosophy / sociology degrees and getting a word in edgewise in a discussion can be... difficult.

Nah, no ifs or buts. You should, period. C'mon, you know you wanna...

Especially if you're a Sounders fan who wants to catch a game at the CLink sometime.
