Let's be honest here. You and I both know you just looked at my pictures and you are curious enough to keep reading. First of all thank you for showing interest. And before you decide I'm not your type, maybe you should reconsider that the last type of guy you dated has brought you here to okcupid, late at night while you're supposed to be sleeping. Swiping past different profiles and deleting vulgar messages from all the wierdos. I know that to every one beautiful woman there is more than a dozen guys trying their luck at online dating with their best messages. Ill be honest, I have a horrible ratio and it's a very small margin of ladies that actually respond back to me. And I'm ok with that. Because you, yes you reading this right now. You are curious enough to read my profile and maybe get a chance to see that I'm a pretty ok guy, and I would love to get to know you. My friends say I'm the "Ted Mosby" of the group. I work a lot and wouldn't mind having a partner in crime to spend my days off with. I love trying new foods, taking my dog on hikes or farmer markets, and all the usual things people list on these things. I'm the guy who never forgets to open a door or pull a seat for a lady. And I don't see kindness as a weakness, it's a matter of respect. So before you decide not to respond back or leave a message, I know on paper you may not think we'd get a long, but really you don't know til we start talking. I love to cook for my dates and on special occasions I play guitar and sing for certain people. I have a YouTube channel and have been able to garner a fan base through the wedding business and Disneyland. Look me up, Katar Marcus. Going to audition for the voice this year, wish me luck ;)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a headline entertainer for a big special events company. I also do sales assisting as well as do social media for the company. We primarily do weddings, but we basically entertain many different events through out Southern California. I'm the jack of trades of my company. I emcee, Dj, and sometimes sing at my weddings and I also officiate weddings as well. I love helping my clients with some first dance basics. You'd be surprised how many couples have never danced together before. I also dj at Disneyland. I love my job, you make a lot of good friends and hear a lot of amazing stories. Every weekend I get to see the guy get to marry the girl of his dreams. So I do have a romanticized ideal of love and optimism. And besides all the wedding work, I'm trying to develop a web series as well as content for my company. Right now I'm organizing my first toy drive, so I'm really excited about that.
I also host a weekly pop culture show on youtube where we talk about movies, comic books, and geek culture
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love to cook, I'm actually known for my crepes and oatmeal chocolate chip pie. And I just invented a Thai Tea Tiramisu. So yeah, I like to experiment and combine styles of foods. I also play guitar and sing. Occasionally I'll do an open mic to practice. I also play a little piano. I'm not going to lie, I may have used the singing and guitar thing to get out of trouble, but rarely do I put my foot in my mouth. ;) I'm an entertainer, so I'm a song and dance man. I learned a lot of ballroom dance from my theater years, so I enjoy taking a girl dancing too. I'm young at heart and easily get along with kids and animals. Especially my niece and nephews, getting to read to them dressed as spiderman has been a highlight of last year. And according to my nephew, I'm the best at making blanket forts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I know I'm supposed to say something about what people notice about me first, but I've never been complimented for a particular feature, I'm just being honest. There are things I'm known for amongst my friend and colleagues. When people encourage me to sing, they call me Asian John Mayer. But I don't want to be the guy that sings whenever someone asks. I'm the reliable guy, never hesitate to help someone. "Your car broke down? Give Katar a call he'll come out and help". And I have my dog with me a lot. So I guess you'd notice Brutus, more than me. If there are any instruments in the room I'm always drawn to play with it. I'll raise my left eyebrow when something annoys me. I will smile my way out of many awkward conversations.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. My family
2. friends
3. My dog, Brutus
4. My phone
5. Coffee
6. A good read
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
- whether I want to bring my dog with me when I'm running errands.
- why the kardashians are so important when there are hungry people, women with no rights, gays being persecuted, and just crazy people shooting people for no reason.
- I feel like a people's definition of "geek" "dork" and "nerd" are totally different from mine. But then again, everyone has something different that makes them a geek.
- How cheat day is like having Christmas once a week.
- How so many of these girls on here are out of my league, and remind me that personally sometimes...
- How my work consistently inspires optimism with every happy couple I meet.
- why some people put inspirational quotes with their selfies.
- why do I have that newsies song in my head?
- "I'm just going to watch half of this episode of law an order" - 30 mins later- "well looks like I'm going to be late for work..."
- the more ice cream I eat is just more calcium for my body right?
- why am I going on a tangent of random thoughts on my okcupid account.
- if you read this much about me, then you must be really cool, cause even I am over this gag. Sorry for making you read this nonsense, I actually never think anyone reads these. Watch this, "FART". Yep I said the word fart. You either laughed or started looking for someone less sarcastic.
- why do girls always take pictures with hands on their hips.
- bet this would taste better with bacon...
- why can't life's problems be solved in an elaborate musical number.
- In all seriousness, I miss my father. I lost him to cancer earlier this year. It's hard, but I have to keep strong for my mother.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm not working, I'll go to the gym, make a healthy dinner or join my friends for drinks
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I made a spiderman costume to surprise my nephew for his birthday, since then I've suited up for a few conventions, charities and for my cousin's special needs class. I want to eventually start a volunteer group through the geek community. With great power comes great responsibility right? ( this is the part where you go looking for that other guy's profile with the dirty mirror showing you his abs, or backwards cap.)
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
- You understand that my family comes first. We're not the Capulets, but right now, since my father's passing I have more responsibilities. So I apologize in advance.
- If you ever had a yellow umbrella
- If you still like cereal and cartoons in the morning (do they still have cartoons in the morning?)
- If you like classic movies and have a guilty pleasure for musicals
- Are young at heart with an old soul
- If you want to show me how dorky you are.
- Must love dogs. I'll be honest, Brutus and I are a package deal.
- If you know what "Please remain seated" sounds like in spanish
- If you ever want me to bring home cakes and flowers from my weddings.
- If you've sang cheap trick's, I want you to want me, in the shower today.
- If you hate cell phones on dates *i really hate cellphones at the dinner table. I see couples on dates and all they do is sit and go on Facebook or text. If I was having dinner with a beautiful girl, my phone would be the last thing I'd want to touch.*
- If you like that I can make you smile
- If you know what movie this song I'm singing is from
