Your Notes
Edit your notesI am ninja, monkey, and pirate.
My Self-Summary
I play a lot of games. Video games, board games, card games. It's mostly about the company. And good beer.
What I’m doing with my life
I work on video games. I love how silly it all is. I hold very heated discussions with coworkers about the properties of the metal Captain America's shield is made out of (Vibranium!) and if it has any gameplay implications (It does!).
Staying up late and watch adult swim and whatever weird shit cartoon network airs after it. Except Tim and Eric. I do not like Tim and Eric.
I'm getting very flustered with the shrinkwrap that comes on DVDs and video games. Sometimes the DVDs are shrinkwrapped twice! They shrinkwrap the case, slide on a cardboard wrapper, and then shrinkwrap that. Once you get through the shrinkwrap, there's that tape on each side that you have to peel off, but it always leaves goo on the case. Eff?
I'm trying desperately to get someone to make me a Jayne Cobb hat.
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Movies: Kill Bill, Sin City, Silence of the Lambs, Clockwork Orange, Old Boy, Harold and Kumar, Full Metal Jacket, Blade Runner. 300 took the spot of best movie ever like immediately. I love kung-fu too. Iron Man was awesome but who the hell didn't like Iron Man. Transporter, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Jason Statham was pretty awesome in general but then he got mixed up with Uwe Boll and I don't know if I can forgive him. King of Kong was fun too.
Music: Classic rock mostly! Tom Petty, John Mellencamp, Boston, Weezer, Bob Dylan, Bon Jovi, Jimi Hendrix. When I feel like listening to music from this century it's Freezepop, Robot Science, Emilie Autumn, Ladytron, Goldfrapp, Aphex Twin and so on. I have a soft spot for 8bit stuff.
Foods: I like thai? And sushi! Round pizza (but not square), and cinnamon toast crunch.
TV: Titan Maximum! The Office, Battlestar Galactica, Sealab 2021, Home Movies, The Oblongs, Robot Chicken, Futurama, History Channel, Mission Hill, Eureka, Heroes, Firefly, Venture Brothers, Dexter, Rome. Star Trek, oh god, yes.
The six things I could never do without
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Logic and argument! I listen to right wing talk radio every day. With just a hint of irony. It's fun trying to understand exactly what they're doing and why their rhetoric is so effective.
Analytical philosophy. Mainly interested in cognitive science and strong artificial intelligence and also how it impacts theories of consciousness and personhood. Basically, I wonder if we'll ever get really good robots.
Programming! I don't get to do it at work much so I devote a lot of my free time to personal projects. My hope is finishing a game I wouldn't be ashamed to release for free.
Lists! cats, skirts and combat boots, hats, coffee, sarcasm, maniac mansion, tattoos, shiny objects, green, intarweb, home movies, robot chicken, venture brothers, battlestar galactica, futurama, string, mountain dew, alarm clocks, pencils, Giants, spaceman spiff, and why the fuck people like baseball.
On a typical Friday night I am
Or maybe beer garden. They let you throw peanuts on the floor and doodle on the picnic tables.
After that, I'll go see any movies that came out as long as they have explosions and partial nudity.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I am a recovering social inept.
