Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Sorry I don't have a picture of myself but I will remedy that in
the next few days. I live my life in a wheelchair because I'm
paraplegic. I am neat and tidy and like to dress well even in my
wheelchair. My undergraduate work was in speech therapy, my
graduate work was in audiology. I am systemically healthy although
a few little health problems crop up from time to time.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm enjoying my life. I am widowed since 2007 after 51
years of a good marriage. I'm unable to to drive because of a
little stroke it took the site out of my left eye. So every time I
go out either on errands or two appointments I have my caregiver
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
It's hard to say what I am really good at because I have so many
varied interests before I became wheelchair-bound I was very good
at making metal sculptures. Your reason I stopped was I cannot get
into the right position to do any more welding. I am good at making
friends and find it very easy to engage a stranger in conversation
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I think my favorite books are the Count of Monte Christo and books
and Les Miserables by Victor Hugo. I also read books on mythology,
books by and about Karl Jung. And I also like to read mysteries and
reference books when I'm doing some research. In music I can listen
to the classical genre, unlike certain operas and symphonies by
Beethoven and Brahms. When it comes to food I like just about
everything I'm especially fond of various ethnic foods. I have them
in new movie or show for a long time I just don't like going alone.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
That would be money, love, my artifacts and paintings, my friends
and finally last but not least my music.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spent a lot of time thinking about travel in various places to
go. The only problem is I'm unable to go by myself I needed
caregiver to go with me. I also think about how I don't like being
alone and eating and cooking alone.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have to know someone very well before I had any conversation on
my private life and thoughts.
