My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Introvert. Gamer. Electronic music aficionado. Memphis Grizzlies fan. St. Louis Cardinals fan. Trivia junkie. Pro-choice. Adamant LGBT supporter. Occasional DJ.

I'll be more concise with my profile in the future. Anything you'd like to know, just ask!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently working as a forklift operator for a snack foods company. Been employed at the same place over 10 years. Not the most exciting line of work, but I enjoy what I do and it pays the bills. I live at home with my disabled mother; I help with bills and other stuff around the house.

Recently I also purchased a new car! First new car ever! It's a culmination of many, many years of hard work. I feel truly blessed to even have the opportunity. It's going to be a long commitment (6+ years of payments), but I'm ready to take this challenge on!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Picking great music for you to listen to.

Self-deprecation, not to be confused with self-defecation. O_o

Trivia Crack.

Sticking my foot in my mouth, but hey, it's one of my more endearing qualities!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
BOOKS: I don't have much time to read, but I'm always open to suggestions. Older favorites are The Once and Future King, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Invisible Man, just about anything by Edgar Allan Poe. I think the last "book" I actually read was 100 Facts about Pandas, and it was fucking HILARIOUS!

MOVIES: My DVD collection is small but eclectic. Save for romantic comedies, I'll watch just about anything at least once... several times if I end up liking it. Recent favorites I've watched lately are Battle Royale, The Babadook, Mad Max: Fury Road, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Chappie, Teeth. I'm a huge fan of well-done horror movies, especially the ones that fuck with your head well after the fact.

SHOWS: Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Dexter, American Horror Story, South Park, Bob's Burgers, Criminal Minds, House

MUSIC: At the risk of sounding like a hipster, most people around here haven't heard of a majority of the artists and music I like. I'll just start by saying I love house in all its forms (go figure!), trance, drum and bass, breaks, techno, tech dance, and small amounts of hardstyle and dubstep. But trap can go fuck itself with a cactus.

When I'm not listening to dance music, I prefer classic rock and 80s/new wave music. Led Zeppelin and Fleetwood Mac are my two favorite bands ever (seen Fleetwood Mac twice and they were AMAZING). I also have some guilty pop pleasures... Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, 90s Eurodance... don't tell anyone!

GAMES: I like to relax and play a good video game when I'm not absolutely exhausted from work. Some of my favorites are RPGs in general (just about anything by Square, NOT Square Enix), the Borderlands series, The Last of Us, The God of War series, the Ratchet and Clank series. Of course I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for old classics, hence why I have a 3DS!

SIDE NOTE: If you're not at least somewhat excited for the Final Fantasy 7 remake, I don't know if we can be friends. :P

FOOD: Yes please. I'm pretty adventurous when trying new foods. About the only thing I will not eat is onions... onions and I have a hate-hate relationship. I absolutely love anything spicy, though my stomach doesn't always agree.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Music, my friends, love, internet, Cherry Coke, a clean pair of socks.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why people are so quick to use religion as a crutch to justify their hatred/bigotry. Seriously, it's fucking mind-boggling.

Also, why I match so poorly with people around my area. I guess I lean too far to the left on a lot of issues. /shrug
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either working (my schedule typically has me working every other weekend) or relaxing at the house. I'm not a "social butterfly" by any stretch, but I do like to visit with my friends from time to time. Grab some drinks, play music, those kinds of things. That being said, I'm always open to new experiences! Well, anything that doesn't involve extreme heights. LOL
