My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I grew up in St. Louis and came out west about six years ago. Best decision I've made. I work for a small tech start-up in the city, I live across the street from a giant park, and I play the lottery every Tuesday.

A few bullet points:

- I'm a "computer scientist," but a luddite at heart.

- I love to cook but I don't do it nearly often enough. Unless bacon and eggs count, which I don't think they do.

- I used to spend Friday afternoons doing the NYT crossword puzzle in a bar but had to stop because Friday puzzles are two-pinters and that pretty much made every Friday a half day.

- I've played guitar for maybe 15 years and plateaued about 12 years ago and am perfectly content with that and still play every day.

- My kitchen has recently become a cocktail bitters factory. (Update: this was a pretty sad failure of a project).

- My spirit animal is the tortoise.

TV: Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Friday Night Lights (I spend a decent amount of time trying to convince people to at least watch the first season), Always Sunny, The Office, 30 Rock, Daily Show, etc, etc. Tiny Fuppets. I have a soft spot for New Girl.

And I maybe started watching the O.C. again a couple weeks ago.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I'm pretty minimal when it comes to what I'd consider essential: books (real paper books, none of that Kindle bullshit), sparkling water, a comfortable bed, traveling. And I'd probably have a hard time getting by if Chipotle shut down.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Travel plans; the spot price of silver; free will vs. determinism; how to actually finish writing a song; the effects of technology on society; whether or not the workers at my cornershop judge me for my purchases; &c.

More recently the feasibility of walking from Tijuana to San Francisco.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I just re-ordered my bookshelves and realized I've never read about half the books I own. So apparently I'm a book hoarder.
