My self-summary
Recovering software engineer.
What I’m doing with my life
Mostly traveling, drinking a lot of coffee, walking around the city, and deciding what the next big step will be. I've been in tech since college and decided to take a long break this year. But I live in San Francisco, so I'll probably be back inside the tech bubble before long. I look too much like a programmer to not be a programmer.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: David Foster Wallace, William Vollmann, Philip Roth, Richard Ford, Franzen, Didion, Carver, and a bunch of boring philosophy stuff.

Recently: Knausgaard and Ferrante, makes me want to write a memoir.

Music: Mountain Goats, the National, Sharon Van Etten, Bonny Billy, Tom Waits, Paul Simon, Pulp, Eno, Bowie, Taylor Swift, Smog, Springsteen, Destroyer, Nick Cave, Jonathan Richman, VU, Hold Steady, WU LYF, Giant Sand, GBV, Steely Dan, Death Grips, Solange, T Rex, Mouserat, Crucifictorious.

TV: Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Friday Night Lights (I spend a decent amount of time trying to convince people to at least watch the first season), Always Sunny, Top Chef, Master Chef, probably some other Chefs.
The six things I could never do without
I'm pretty minimal when it comes to what I'd consider essential: books (real paper books, none of that Kindle bullshit), sparkling water, a comfortable bed, traveling. And I'd probably have a hard time getting by if Chipotle shut down.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Travel plans. I need to get out of the country at least one more time before the year's through. Thinking maybe Scotland, New Zealand, or something weird like Tahiti.
On a typical Friday night I am
(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I use a flip-phone.

You're a fast walker.
