I'm working towards my goal of being a filmmaker. I write a lot, and I go back and forth between trying to make something artistic, and trying to make something that's just a lot of fun, silly entertainment. I just recently finished my first attempt at a short "artsy" film, and if you ask nicely, maybe I'll let you see it :)

Playing the fiddle, calculus, drinking dry martinis (shaken, not stirred).

No, I lied, I'm terrible at all of those things.

But I do think I'm a pretty good story teller, I make people laugh a lot, and just about everyone thinks I'm one of the coolest dudes they've met (does that count as a skill?)

I'm one of those writers who doesn't really read books. Yeah, you read that right. But in my defense, I write screenplays, and I do watch a shit ton of movies. Oh, and of the books I have read...Clockwork Orange was a fun read, and Ender's Game was surprisingly awesome. Oh, and I loved Bruce Campbell's "If Chins Could Kill."

But back to movies. My favorite movies (and bare in mind that this is excruciatingly hard for me to decide upon) are probably Pulp Fiction, Swingers, Eraser Head, The Empire Strikes Back, The Matrix, Fight Club, Terminator 2, and Alien/Aliens. There are some (relatively) obscure, but well-loved, independent hip cult flicks I could put on here to give more artsy film geeks a geekgasm, but then I'd feel like a trendster. But, what the Hell, I'll throw one of those out there anyway, just because I'm in love with it: Wristcutters. I know that it sounds like a stupid emo movie, and I almost didn't watch it because of that, but it's actually one of the more awesome films I've seen in my lifetime.

Allow me to quickly point out, that there are two types of people: people who like old, black and white movies, and people who don't. I'm a person who does. Last one of those I saw was Sunset Blvd, so if you're in the LA area, that's where I want to go some time.

My favorite music is probably alternative rock, and I grew up with 90s music, so I love all of the alternative music from that era. Honestly, I like just about any genre of music, although it's rare for me to listen to Country, Rap, and R&B, 'cuz I'm just not that cool. Oh, and I like a lot of the classic stuff, too...like, if you can tell me who sang this, I'll give you mad props: "Oh! Darling, please believe me, I'll never do you no harm. Believe me when I tell you, I'll never do you no harm."

As for food, well, I'll let you know what my favorite food is when we're having dinner together...how's that? :)

I could be a smart ass and write, "oxygen, food, water, etc..." but I'm not going to do it.

Instead, I'm just going to write...I don't know, because I have it all, baby.
