Im more of a Socialist with my trains of thought. And I often come across as idealist if not extremely niave because I have such a hopeful and easy going nature. I love to live by the rule "Fool me one shamn on you, fool me twice shame on me" because its indiciative of give everyone a fair chance to screw up their chance at an even friendship. But don't confuse my easy going nature with that of a typical doormat. Once burned I am a frightful acolyte of Vengeance, I even have a tattoo to ephitomize my feelings on that emotion.
Im intelligent, some might say know it all, others might say quiet genius. I like debates, friendly coffee and mocha chatters that end on positive notes even if we have to agree to disagree. This is a HUGE area that some people can't seem to move around or accept. When there are things I know, I will provide data and references or be willing to look them up. Many people find this behavior annoying and degrading. I assure you it is not Derogatory nor is it indicative of a know it all. And I am very open to new information, that is why I ask you for proof and verified cites to prove your point. This behavior does make me suitable for a Law career, hopefully with JAG, some time in the near future but that means I need Law school. So that's a plan.
I love knowledge in every sense of the word and I really like creative discussions, like "What would you do if you had your own island and access to umpalumpas !" That being said, Im also in to Scifi, cartoons, and fun imaginative things. I absoultely love the pursuit of Knowledge!
I was brought up with outdoor pursuits in mind. I love rock climbing, hiking, camping and traveling when ever possible. Im positive I could survive in the wilderness for months if need be. And as far as travel, I really love to go everywhere. I've been to quite a few places, even lived in Spain for close to two years. I've been to 14 different countries. I still need to see much of the Western United States, and I have plans of a road trip from Washington State to Alaska within the next two years.
I enjoy every kind of music, even rap and country, though those two are the least I listen to. Im an avid Linkin Park and Kill Hannah fan. And kudos if you know Rasputina or Bond. I also love the club The Church, a goth club in Dallas. But I like techno and orchastral music too. Im really much more of a movie guy though. Lots of people can list their type of music, where to go whose been in which band. Me, I just know if I like it. Seriously, I had this one date who didn't believe me, and we were listening to One Summer day, and it took me nearly 10 minutes to remember it was the Beatles. I just don't know music, or really care about bands and their tours or personal lives. I know if I like it. And I addore if the music touches an emotional twinge in my dramatic soul that moves me to tears or heart wrenching passionate adoration. But then, thats why I am a Movie Buff.
As with all guys, I love games. All types, Cranium is one of my favorites. I also have a waning addiction to World of Warcraft, but Im getting better, only play maybe twice a week now as opposed to 14 hours every day. See better. If you like DDR Im a terrible dancer, but after a bit of practice, I can memorize the moves enough to be a decent challenge. And nerdy type that I am, I use to love painting miniture models. I still have a ton that I've been meaning to work on, but since I left a majority of those items with my ex and her new man my once best friend, those items can be a bit emotional.
I guess that's it. Of course, I'm really looking for interesting people to make friends with, and in hopes of stabilizinging my life here in the FW area to make my life more interesting than work and study. Can't wait to meet some new friends.
Oh and one more passing interest. I desperately am looking for an entry level way into the computer technology field. I've been studying for my A+, Net+, and MSC tests for ever. But being that they cost arms and legs and loads of cash, I haven't gotten around to it. The hardest thing Im noticing right now is that the industry wants people with working experience. having been sodering motherboards since 1987 doesn't count for much unless you were being paid to do it. And putting together over 50 custom built computers for friends and family means jack, even to computer building companies like Dell and NewEgg unless you were registered as an employee of someone while you did it. So if you're in teh field, tryingt o get in like me, or just a tech guru, I would LOVE to meet you, chat, hang out, whatever. Maybe even start a build it once a month club. that would be so much fun.
