My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm easy-going, flexible, fun-loving and energetic! I love to spend time outdoors going to concert events, festivals, sports games, seasonal activities, etc. When I'm off for the summer, I really enjoy the ocean. I feel at peace there...something about the rhythm of the tides, I guess. I'm lucky to live on the East Coast because I really do appreciate all the seasons for their unique flavor.

Nowadays, I like to keep my mind open to different opportunities and experiences. Traveling and meeting new friends are a top priority. I enjoy having conversations with people, getting to know what's important to them really can show their character...like the saying "the eyes are the windows to the soul"....I believe there's something to that.

I'm down-to earth and I think my friends/family appreciate that in me. I'm dependable and the go-to person when you need advice or just a friendly ear. Loyalty and respect are important traits to me, so I hold those things paramount in all my relationships.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a teacher by profession, and on the side, I still perform plays with my theatre troupe. I like to challenge myself with different activities, so my next adventure might involve taking a workshop and learning how to fix something around the house. (Look out....hide the power tools!) I was thinking maybe a ceiling fan or new tile floor for kitchen. I love to travel and most recently I visited Montana. I got to live a dream on a dude ranch and ride horses with my daughter. Spectacular "big sky country"...I highly recommend it!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love teaching because I've always been passionate about learning...especially reading! If I really love a book, I will stay up all night to finish it. My biggest challenge/thrill is passing on this knowledge to my students. I get such a kick when they have a "light bulb" moment and you know all your hard work has finally paid off...it's like winning the lottery!

Singing/dancing, it's what makes me happy and keeps me young. It's hard to be angry when you're gliding across the dance floor or pouring out your soul in a beautiful song to an encouraging audience!

I'm a great conversationalist, and put people at ease right away. My communication/observation skills have served me well in every job that I've ever undertaken. The power of words/speech can be very commanding, thoughtful, funny....even romantic!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
It's a tie! Yes, between my hazel eyes ...........
I'm told green eyes are the rarest color (thanks Dad!) and there's just a splash of brown for contrast (thanks Mom!) Nice chemistry, huh?
and..........my winning smile!
My friends say I "light up the room" when I enter. Thanks Crest/Colgate....no cavities either!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
BOOKS: Love John Grisham novels (Think I was a lawyer in another life!) Nicholas Sparks...obviously, romantic, remember?
And, Jane Austen...fascinated with that time period: great clothes, people spoke eloquently, and manners were in style!

MOVIES: How much time do you have? Let's see, to name just a few: Planes, Trains, Automobiles (anything with John Candy...what a teddy bear!) Cohen Bros. classics like "Raising Arizona", Godfather I and II, Outlaw Josey Wales, Titanic, Stand By Me, Dances With Wolves, Gone With The Wind, To Kill A Mockingbird, Tootsie, Arthur, Gladiator, the list goes on......

SHOWS: Law and Order (Original and SVU...NOT Criminal Intent), Food Network shows w/Giada or Bobby Flay or Paula Dean, also Chopped and Restaurant Impossible
Two and a Half Men (with Charlie Sheen), Mad Men, Once Upon A Time (New), NCIS, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Dancing With The Stars, Daily Show, Colbert Report

MUSIC: Pretty much every genre: country, classic /alternative rock, blues, jazz, standards (really enjoy going to live performances!!)

FOOD: Enjoy a variety of foods, usually chicken dishes, but I love a great steak too! Have to have some type of potato too....it's in the blood....IRISH! : ) Really into sweet potatoes now, and I don't feel guilty eating them because they taste great AND they're so good for you too. That's a win-win!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
MUSIC- soothes my soul!
FAMILY-keeps me grounded!
FRIENDS-my lifeline/sounding board!
BOOKS-fuel my imagination!
TRAVEL-opens new possibilities!
NATURE-inspires me to be better!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Different travel destinations: There's so much to see and do, even right here in our own country! I want to fill my life with more wonderful memories of the people and places that make this world so special!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Friday is flexible depending on my schedule. Sometimes, I might want to curl up with a book or watch TV. Often, I like to have dinner with friends, go dancing, sing karaoke, or take in a concert/movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a work- in- progress like everyone else, and I am not above admitting when I make a mistake. I appreciate others that can acknowledge the same. The old addage: "love means never having to say your sorry" is wayyy off base! Saying you're sorry means you're a grown up and "evolved"...and don't forget, saying it with flowers, a candle-lit dinner, or maybe a foot massage can only earn bonus points!
You should message me if
