My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am easy going person who appreciates kindness, simple people, minimalism, sense of humor, quirkiness, and intelligence. This article, from another technologist, summarizes evolution of my thought process in recent years - http://chronicle.com/article/From-Technologist-to/128231/

I spend time on art, drawing, and poetry apart from reading philosophy, religion. I also do charcoal portraits, write poetry and run a poetry meet up group in SF.

I have been fortunate to find opportunities to work in multiple cities - Delhi, Bombay, Pune, Bangalore, Atlanta, WhitePlains, Princeton, London at different stages in my life. Up until recently, I did not feel I belong to a place or country and called myself - Place Agnostic, but then I fell in love with San Francisco for its laid back, quirky and open hearted people who I met so far.

I admire thoughtful, well read, ambitious, and creative people in different fields. It is important to have multiple perspectives and explored different paths in life. In my observations so far, I have found those who have constant yearning for learning, growing, becoming a better person in their life, and more importantly connect at human and not machine/online level get along well with me. Learning and taking up new challenges defines me, and also attracts me towards a person.

As I mentioned above, I find the ability to connect with people at a basic human level as the most important virtue. Being vulnerable, authentic, and real are not for the weak hearted. I love and admire that in a person whatever way it turns out to be.

If you are someone who is looking for meaningful conversations, starting with fun banter, coffee and drinks conversations, finding connection and developing it together than we should talk more.

I hope to find someone to do things together, develop and share interests, explore city together, enjoy time with each other in-spite of our individual busy schedules, develop loving and sharing relationship where we connect at spiritual and emotional levels also after initial spark and connection.

I am willing and open to new experiences of creativity, thoughts and culture. I try to make honest attempts to be helpful, encouraging and kind to people around me. I am constantly working towards becoming a better human being.

My interests are diverse, and evolve as I explore myself as a person such as - learning a new language, going for a theatre class, drawing/sketching, going on a drive without fine prints, spending time at book shops and public libraries, museums, art shows, spending time reading/blogging at cafes, going for live music places, sometimes movies, enjoying a stroll in neighborhood parks and such.

I spend time connecting with myself. I play games :) - Ping pong, badminton, field hockey and soccer. I enjoy running and biking around Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach.

I switch between carefree and intense.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying not to stuck up feathers up my butt and look like a chicken :).

Working with a tech startup. I love my job, and my colleagues. It has been hectic but fun experience so far.

I like to create and contribute towards meaningful innovation inside and outside of work. I work hard to create balance in my life.

I run a poetry reading meet up group across SF/South Bay - http://www.meetup.com/Hindi-Urdu-Sufi-Poetry-and-Literature-Reading-in-SF/ If you are someone who likes live firehose of information, my opinionated self is found here - https://twitter.com/imaxxs

I have spent time learning Djembe (African Drums). One of the interesting things about playing drums is that it builds a structure of rhythm, and then you go in and out of the structure while maintaining rhythm and tempo. I think this applies to even relationships. The best times of a relationship is when you are able to slowly build the tempo, rhythm and then be able to hold that for very long periods of time :). I love making charcoal portraits and learn classical drawing at a French Atelier in SF.

I took summer lessons to learn basic Arabic, although I am not at all good at it. I have read multiple books on different religions including Buddhism, Christianity, Islam and Hinduism.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have a world view, aware and appreciative of different cultures and religions. You like reading books. You are intellectually curious. You think philosophy is not that boring, or at least you can appreciate it sometimes. You like to have fun yet meaningful and interesting conversations, and can enjoy sarcasm with a laugh. You like to develop deeper understanding about things in life, and explore spiritual/soulful connection along with connecting at many other levels in life.

You can bring your sense of humor on conversations and discussions on any topic.

You are someone who is willing to take risks and are not afraid of failing, feel confident that we can find a way of landing and/or flying off smoothly, if we ever have to jump off the cliff.

Above all, you are open, unpretentious, genuine, not flaky, smart, ambitious, happy with your life, willing to meet in person rather than messages, and see if we have a connection.
