I am strong, gentle, and respectful.

My Self-Summary

Blessed be.

My purpose is to help and to heal. I am motivated by the four sacred elements; earth, air, fire, and water, leading to the fifth sacred thing - spirit. I offer that which I am responsible to all life; my love, respect, and attention.

I live on a twentysix acre farm with my partner of twentyone years, Sharyn, and our eight year old son Fionnlagh Strength'n Kynd, two dogs, a cat, three horses, some chickens, and a passle of turkeys.

We, not the royal we, or a mouse in my pocket, Sharyn and I welcome all relationships. We would in particular, be highly pleased and delighted, to meet a woman with whom we could assist in meeting mutual needs and goals. Polyfidelity. I am much the hermit sort and therfore not a chaser. If you need much pursuit you might want to look else where. We have a great life here and you are welcome in it. I respond fully and thoughtfully to all mail.

What I’m doing with my life

I am involved in a daily celebration and exploration of this wonderful life. I strive to make Kynd choices and behave intentionally so as to be as benificial to the all as I am capable. We have our farm, Kynd View, and a business called Kynd Parks and Homestead Services, We do all sorts of things for people like the things we do here on the farm. We do tree work, manage wood lots, some people carve pieces of wood, I carve woods. I log with Big Buddy a Belgian work horse. We do landscaping, garden creation and maintenance, and permaculture design and implementation. We do what some call training(socialization) of horses, dogs, children and other wild critters. As well as other stuff.

I’m really good at

Though I am a recovering psychologist, I'm still really good at helping people figure out and work through their crap. I'm good at telling the truth, at least so much as I see it. Working on the tact part.

The first things people usually notice about me

Are my blue eyes and the intensity behind them.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Lately, most of my reading has been confined to the local papers, The Maine Organic Farmer & Gardner, The Small Farmer's Journal, and reference books. My most recent favorite book is Charles De Lint's Someplace to be flying. I love Barbara Kingsolver, Ursula K. Le Guin, Sheri Tepper etc.

Up for most any movie.

Love most forms of music. A passion for singing. Also for songstresses like Ani Defranco, Jonatha Brooke, Tori Amos, Alison Krauss,Sarah Mclachlan, etc. The plaintive quality of their voices make me melt and bring out the nurturer, wanting to make everything all right. Don't worry I know I can't, I've pretty much gotten over my messiah complex.

My son said I should tell you that we like Green Day. I am particularly fond of angst ridden music, punk, alternative etc. and of course still love The Grateful Dead. In fact the last band I saw was Ratdog.

We are all about respect and responsibility, this is especially true when it comes to food. We don't eat mammals, raise our own chickens and turkeys, and don't eat anything I'm not willing to kill.

The six things I could never do without

Food, water, shelter, love, empathy, and beauty.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am a sexist. I prefer feminine to masculine.

You should message me if

You are looking for truth, love, affection, and or acceptance. Perhaps you seek more family, as do we. I believe friendship implies responsibility. I am willing and able to do my part. How about you? Would you like a friend or more?
