Let's see...It's hard to summarize yourself in a paragraph but here are some random things about me:
Hopkins grad- go Blue Jays!
Public school teacher and really dedicated to my crazy students.
Big tennis fan, but better at watching than playing it.
Love to salsa and took classes in it to learn it better. Trying to get back into it.
Love catching live concerts- jazz, classical, rock, whatever as long as it's good.
I like trying new restaurants in and around NYC. Good food makes me happy.
Spend my weekends in manhattan eating, drinking, dancing, walking, and other verbs ending in "ing".
I arrange and compose classical music.
Pretty nifty on the sax and freelance on that when I get the chance.
If you want to know more, just send me a message.
What I’m doing with my life
Working with inner city kids, trying new restaurants, exercising so
I can continue to indulge in my restaurant outings, and recently
started to go to school for my PHD in music composition.
I do more but I'll save that for the first date.
I’m really good at
Working hard and maintaining a positive outlook. Also, pretty good
at laughing at myself and making jokes whenever possible. Except on
my profile for this, it's hard to be witty when writing. I leave
that to my literature and writing friends.
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually it's my curly hair but recently I have been trying to go with a trendy straight hair do. But otherwise, it's the holding the door open/ pull your chair out deal that is either a win or an uncomfortable moment.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I enjoy the cinema, but I don't go regularly. I will see any movie
if asked or suggested-except horror.
Jazz and classical are my go to music genres, but I like to listen
to as much of a variety as possible minus screamo and most country.
Some notables: Miles Davis, Stevie Wonder, Bach, Piazolla, Justin
Timberlake, and Metallica to name a few. Recently on a samba and
deep house kick. I'm also always looking and open to new music-
know anything worth listening to?
Love trying new cuisine and I would say Indian food has become my
comfort food. I enjoy lots of flavors from Ethiopian, Peruvian,
Thai, and many more.
The six things I could never do without
Family and friends
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My next travel destination.....or my day's or week's schedule. I tend to repeat it out loud many times to reassure myself that I can get it done- you know, like your typical crazy person.
On a typical Friday night I am
Playing a gig, relaxing with friends, running around NYC, listening
to some band or group or dj, or just a drink in one hand and an
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can eat White Castle for any meal of the day. It's disgusting, I
You should message me if
You get my nerdy musical reference in my username.
You want to chat, get to know each other, and eventually see if
these silly percentages are true in person.
You need a partner for salsa class.
