Starting over (used to be implode54). Keeping it simple this time. I am full of love. I love eating good food, always.

The first things people usually notice about me

It really depends. In an attempt to be as honest and forthcoming as I can be, I will say that I am sometimes very outgoing, fun, silly, and outrageous. I'm the first person out on the dance floor! However, I can also be introverted, and sometimes turn inwards to protect myself when I feel somehow threatened (real or imaginary). I work to balance these two.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

This category has the possibility of being divisive and alienating. I like J.M. Coetzee. I want to read 100 Years of Solitude in Spanish. I imagine that will take me around 4 months.

Lately I've been enjoying science fiction flicks (The Fountain, Children of Men). I almost always love Christopher Guest and anything Ricky Gervais is involved with.

I love music but don't keep up with new artists. I enjoy Elvis Perkins in Dearland, Sufjan (doesn't everyone?), Bjork, etc.

In my vegan quest, I've been using a lot of lentils and flax seed. 95% vegetarian, 61% vegan, 100% chocolate.

The six things I could never do without

Good food, art and music, a bicycle/a way to get away, really supportive friends and the love we share, self expression, and dogs.
