My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi there! I don't think that there's a character limit for this box. I could write an essay if I wanted. But I won't. I will say that I'm a bit of an introvert. And a Feminist. Occasionally witty. Nerdy pop culture enthusiast. Recent red wine lover. Identify as queer. And lesbian. And whatever. I don't dislike cheese. I'm an atheist with infrequent agnostic leanings. I'm also a Jewish lady. I am a social worker. Both my car and shower radios are perpetually dialed to NPR though I make allowances for nerdy podcasts, Spotify's pop channel, and Indigo Girls. Long live the Oxford comma.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Thinking about what to do with my life. It's come in fits and starts. And some abortion stuff.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Smiling. Backgammon. Remembering the name of that one movie starring that one guy with the hair from the late 90's. Or, in the absence of remembering, rushing to The Google.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
This is a hard one to answer because empathy only stretches so far and it's not as though I submit strangers to a poll. It's probably my lips and my shining personality, though. And sarcasm.

Things on the TV that make/made me happy: Buffy, Battlestar Galactica (reboot), Xena, Doctor Who, X-Files, Once Upon a Time, Lost Girl, The Good Wife, All in the Family, Parks and Recreation, Star Trek (TNG + DS9), Red Dwarf, Friday Night Lights, Pretty Little Liars, etc.

Some books that have made me think: I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, The Handmaid's Tale, The House of Spirits, The Mommy Myth, Exodus, etc.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The Handmaid's Tale
Red wine
Progressive politics
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Korean food and salsa. Surviving a patriarchal society. Reproductive justice.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with my friends or sisters. Or having a nice quiet night in with Netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Here? I firmly believe that cilantro is the devil's herb.

... you want to talk BSG/Buffy/etc, you're a feminist/womanist, and if you're looking for a kinda nerdy, and totally worth it, friend.

... you're Jewish/y? Not a requirement, like, at all. In fact, I've never dated a Jewish woman. But who knows. Maybe it's a thing? It would make my mother happy.
