Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been in the human services field for the past 15+ years. I
taught a life skills and vocational exploration program to homeless
adults with serious addictions. I also taught and managed that
program in a prison. I managed a supportive housing program that
allowed me to be a counselor, manager, designer, construction
co-ordinator, and more, all in the course of the same day. This
past year I moved from a Vctorian home in Dorchester and am now in
the process of renovating a little home with a great yard in
Carver. I'm a bit of a homebody but enjoy art museums, old
churches, theatre, music, reading, hanging out with friends,
working on my house and yard, lectures, books, antiqueing, travel
and restaurants. I'm addicted to NPR and BBC. My taste in music
ranges from Early music to Marianne Faithful. Reading - from
existentialist lit to vapid mysteries; some of my favorites authors
are Jonathan Carrol, Charles Dickens, E.F. Benson, William Self and
David Sedaris. Favorite magazines are the New Yorker, Art News, Art
in America, Archaeology Today and Dwell.
I've been fortunate to have travelled quite a bit. Some places are
Burma, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Istanbul, Bucharest,
Transylvania, Budapest, Vienna, Prague, Beijing, Berlin, Krakow and
Characteristics that attract me most in people are an inquisitive
mind, a good sense of humour and kindness.
