I am funny, adventurous, and a total nerd.

My Self-Summary

Just moved to Chicago from Mississippi where I was born and raised. Figured it was about time for me to get out of the south for a little bit and explore and find out what else is out there. So far, its ok. I definitely miss home sometimes but its good to be in the big city where there is a lot more going on.

Looking to make friends here in the city since I'm new and really don't know anybody. I'm pretty much up for anything from going to the movies, dinner, grabbin some beers or a workout/running partner at the gym.

I love travelling. Even though I have been in Chicago for a little bit, I still consider myself new. I love exploring the city. I like to consider myself an adventurous person - experiencing new things, seeing new sites, trying out new restaurants.

What I’m doing with my life

I have a full time job where I work in the IT field.

I'm a perpetual student - I always like to be in some kind of class or doing something to expand my intellect. Right now I'm working on my 2nd masters/PhD in Industrial Organizational Psychology.

I’m really good at

The first things people usually notice about me

is my southern accent - even tho I don't think I have one.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

TV: Smallville, Lost, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Nip/Tuck, Family Guy, Reno 911, Rome, The Soup, True Blood, Weeds

MUSIC: 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park, The Metro Station, Rhianna, The Killers, Kings Of Leon

BOOKS: Currently reading "Blink", but other faves were The Da Vinci Code, The Left Behind Series, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower

FOOD: One thing I love about Chicago is that I have started getting out and experiencing all the different types of restaurants. I've also recently started trying to cook. I wouldn't say its delicious... I would describe it more as edible. I like to watch Alton Brown's "Good Eats" and I'm a big fan of Rick Bayless.

The six things I could never do without

1.) my iPhone

and.... its a work in progress

I spend a lot of time thinking about

life in general. I like to think about where I'm going, where I've been, what's in store for the rest of my life... ya know, stuff like that. I tend to spend a lot of time reflecting on the past and trying to learn from my mistakes (and God knows I've made my share). The biggest way to improve yourself is to learn from your mistakes.

On a typical Friday night I am

usually hanging out with friends doing something, whether it be grabbing a drink, clubbing, going to the movies, or whatever it may be.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

is that I have no shame - really. I tend to not to really pay attention to what strangers think of me. Its my friend's opinions that I actually care about. It is pretty much impossible to offend me. I am usually the one making an ass of my self (usually inadvertently) when in large groups of people.

I have my nerdy, dorky side too. Comic books, Star Trek, and roller coasters get me every time.

You should message me if

you like what you see here and are up for making a new friend!
