My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm 30 and slowly, but surely, finishing up law school. Born into humble beginnings in Little Rock, Arkansas, I've had to overcome a wide range of obstacles to get where I am today. My triumph in the face of unrelenting poverty and an exceedingly dysfunctional home life has made me at once grateful and somewhat emotionally guarded. That being said, those who get to know me almost universally describe me as being one of the most kind, charming, and empathetic individuals you're likely to meet.

I've had the pleasure of spending the last decade living and studying in places as diverse as Washington, DC (Georgetown c/o 2006), Germany, Maryland, and now Portland, where I've lived since the summer of 2007.

As a result of not being much interested in the bar/club/party scene, I have limited opportunities to expand my social circle, hence, my need to resort to the world of online dating.

In many respects, I'm the epitome of a paradox. I'm a future lawyer who does not like to argue. I'm outgoing, yet can be very shy until I get the sense that it is alright to reveal the more captivating aspects of my personality. I'm often the "life of the party," but I don't enjoy the party scene.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Figuring out what I'm going to do when my career as a perpetual student -a title I've reluctantly embraced since the tender age of 5- comes to its logical conclusion when I finally finish law school.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being adorable without breaking a sweat, in general, and
using humor to ease tension, in particular....You'll have to get to know me to know the rest.
The first things people usually notice about me

If I told you, wouldn't that lessen the thrill of our first encounter?

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:

1. Technology
2. The ability to withhold judgement until I've put myself in someone else's shoes.
3. Unconditional Love
4. My skin color
5. Good food
6. Starbucks
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
In no particular order: the facts of life, how to make a good, first impression, and how I might make a long-lasting contribution to the common good.
On a typical Friday night I am

You Rated me highly (4 out of 5 stars), but for some reason are too shy to say hi. According to okcupid, six users have rated me as such and the only way I'll ever find out is if I became an A-list member. The way I see it, I can either pay the 19.95 fee to upgrade my membership to find out who you are or you can be nice enough to tell me beforehand so that I'm not cash poor on our first date.
