I'm spending my third summer in the Bay as an intern at a tech company.

I'm from Singapore, but I go to school at a liberal arts college on the East Coast.

1. To quote Carl Sagan, if one wants to make an apple pie from scratch, one has to first invent the universe. So you could say that I'm trying to figure out how to build that metaphorical apple pie from scratch.

2. Making better software, and making software better. Occasionally writing about it.

3. Enjoying real (i.e. non-dining-hall) food, and learning to cook.

Computers, math, and science, apparently.

I also have a knack for remembering a ton of (often useless) information. Doesn't stop me from forgetting day-to-day stuff, though.

Tall, skinny, fair-skinned. And that I might pass off as a girl if I dressed appropriately (not that I've tried)

I don't exactly keep a top 20 list, but here are some nice ones --

Books: The Diamond Age (by Neal Stephenson), Patton (biography of the WW2 general), Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell, Musicophilia (by Oliver Sacks). The Sandman series (by Neil Gaiman). Cloud Atlas (book beats the movie).

Movies: V for Vendetta, Dark Waters, The Matrix, Kick Ass, 500 Days of Summer, Scott Pilgrim vs The Rest of the World.

Shows: Big Bang Theory.

Music: Stars, RHCP, The Killers, Panic! at the Disco, The Postal Service, Deathcab, The New Pornographers.

Food: I dislike most vegetables. Asian food is awesome -- particularly Japanese, Korean, and Thai. Basil leaf rice mmmm.

You can obtain / construct almost anything with those two, so I'm done here.
