My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I haven't updated my page in over a year.

Summarize that.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to juggle both a video art career and freelance work (jobs that can pay the rent).
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
digging a really deep hole and then burying myself in it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
What, like a physical feature? Well, this is pretty cliche, I would have to say my eyes. I mean that's probably not the very first physical feature people notice (how could one's eyes stick out that much from the rest of one's body? They make up like a 15th of it.), but my eyes are an interesting color and fairly intense. They get quite a few compliments I suppose.

I am generally shy and a little awkward around new people. Sometimes people translate this as being cold or aloof. I assure you I am anything but cold or aloof. I do not do well with first impressions.

Books (too many to name, I'll just list authors): Richard Brautigan, Philip Pullman, J.R.R. Tolkien, Cormac McCarthy, Thomas Pynchon, Charles Bukowski, Jim Carrol, Albert Camus, Manly P. Hall, Carl Sagan, Frank Miller, Alan Moore, Anthony Burgess, William S. Burroughs, Ken Kesey...

Movies (again, too many to name, here are some makers): David Lynch, Richard Kern, Christopher Nolan, Stan Brakhage, Kenneth Anger, Hollis Frampton, Ken Jacobs, Vito Acconci, Jean-Luc Godard, Frederico Fellini, Bruce Nauman, Werner Herzog, Ross McLaren, Michelangelo Antonioni, François Truffaut, Paul Sharits, Lars von Trier...

Music: The Magnetic Fields, Gatekeeper...

--Okay, I am getting bored with this section, so I'll just say that I am heavily into the abstract, conceptual or experimental, whether it be film, writings, music, whatever it is I'll be drawn to it. I also really connect with visceral or aesthetically raw pieces of art. That's not to say that the intellectual does not have a place in my heart, but I will admit that I do find most works of that sort to be too academic and sometimes even pretentious for my tastes. If there aren't engaging or cohesive visuals to accompany an idea that appeals strictly to the logical mind, then I will simply lose interest...or maybe I'm just an idiot, I don't know.

Food: I'll try anything once. Even live monkey brains (People really do eat them, I swear! It's a delicacy in Indonesia.).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how I compare to others. Lame, I know. It's difficult not to at the moment.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
is that I have a propensity to being physically attracted to tall girls, as in my height or taller. Not entirely sure why, but I am willing to bet it is due to a tendency to make things more difficult for myself.

So there is that.

Odds are, being honest in this particular fashion most likely will not work in my favor.

you intend on meeting up for a coffee or drink or something. I hate electronic communication. I feel like nothing I ever say translates properly, especially my sense of humor. I just come off sounding like a prick or someone who has been devoid of any human interaction for their entire existence thus far.

Call me old fashioned, but please let us converse like people used to 15 years ago.
