I live a dual life. Sort of like Batman, but without the violence and the tights. I farm in the spring, summer and early fall on an organic farm in South Jersey, and I spend the late fall and winter writing screenplays and hammering out short stories in New York.

I'm half Filipino, a quarter Italian and a quarter German. It's an exciting mix. Needless to say, there are lots of hand gestures and loud speaking complexities in my genes.

I work. It's very important to me, whether it's writing or farming. Work carries me through the dark times and heals me through the really dark times.

But when the day is done I relax like most everyone else, enjoying good food, hanging out with good people, and watching movies and baseball games. Normal and pedestrian? Yes. Fun as hell? Good googly moogly yes. Can't handle that? Best move on, Mademoiselle.

Growing tasty vegetables and writing the next great American screenplay. I get up early in the morning, take my vitamins and get to work. I love what I do and I have a hard-on for life. I'd have it no other way.

Storytelling. Making sacrifices. Sticking to a schedule. Listening. Keeping balance.

The hair. Not quite as great as Giorgio Tsoukalos. But it's getting there.
